The Houeye House

Built in 1938 by current owner's father on the 300 acres of land the family has owned since 1828. The house was built from lumber milled from pine timber cut from the property.

Please note:  Sadly, we will be closing our doors as of December 31st, 2011 for the Bed & Breakfast. However, our   Camping and Trail riding WILL remain open.

Many of our guests have commented about their enjoyment at seeing and hearing the many different birds around the house and on the trails, plus the wildlife they encounter while riding.

Our Civil War buffs have shown a lot of interest in the B&B family cemetery which can be accessed by our trails or by a main road. The cemetery dates back to the early 1800's and contains gravestones of 2 Civil War Soldier brothers with interesting stories.

Exit I-55 at Amite/Montpelier exit 46 toward Montpelier.

Go .1 ( that's one tenth mile to Bennett Road-just before Ardillo's Resturant).
Turn RIGHT on Bennett Road.

Go 1.9 (that's one and nine tenths miles) to Siebert Road. (See large sawmill at crossroads).
Turn LEFT on Siebert Road.

Go .3 (that's three tenths mile) to Simpson Lane.
Turn RIGHT--See large white house back off road.
