Southern Comfort Bed and Breakfast is 1910’s raised center hall cottage that was built on the land of the Bouligny Plantation. In the mid 1700’s there were some 400-sugar plantations the extended west from the city of New Orleans along the Mississippi River.

In thoughtfully restoring the home to its original grandeur, we have captured the spirit of times gone by. As a guest of our New Orleans inn, you will experience the warm hospitality of this world class destination, where making visitors feel at home is our specialty. Your innkeeper is a native New Orleanian and is knowledgeable about many facets of the city: the architecture, which delights the eyes, the food, which tempts the palate, and the music, which enlivens the soul. Enjoy Classic Louisiana breakfast entrees such as Sweet Potato- Pecan Waffles served with our local Steen’s Cane Syrup and Praline Bacon. Or maybe, Baked Eggs nested in Brioche seasoned with bits of Tasso or Crawfish A’La Crème.

Special Breakfast Time

The three-course breakfast is served at our New Orleans bed and breakfast between 8 and 9am, but may be served earlier or later with prior arrangement. If you have an early flight, we’ll ensure a pot of coffee and muffins “to go” for the plane ride.

Special Diet

We are happy to accommodate alternative dietary needs at our New Orleans bed and breakfast. Please let us know in advance of any allergies, or preference for vegetarian, Atkins, or gluten free options. If you prefer a lighter fare we will provide fruit, yogurt and cereal.
