  • The Eurasian Suite


    The Eurasian Suite consists of the Egyptian and the Middle East rooms.  It offers two  adjoining bedrooms with almost 600 square feet of luxurious space.  The suite has access to the semi-private outdoor  gallery overlooking the courtyard.    Guests are asked to use the rear  gallery for smoking.

    The Egyptian Room with its rich terra cotta walls,  is decorated with  a collection of  Egyptian lithographs. The highly carved European Standard (Full) Bed that originates from  Belgium circa 1880.  It has 400 count linen bedding, a down comforter in the winter and is piled high with assortment of pillows.  An antique oriental rug competes the decor.   The suite has a small refrigerator stocked with complimentary soda's, juice and bottled water.    

    The Middle East Room has a queen size bed four poster metal bed with 400 count linens,  a wardrobe from the 1920's and a collection of Lithographs and art from the Middle East complement the walls.  Handmade oriental rugs cover the highly polished heart of pine floors.  

    The spacious private bath has Victorian wainscoting, an antique claw-foot tub outfitted with a shower and has black, white, and 24 carat gold floor tiles.

    The Eurasian Suite  is suitable for a family or two men /two women who travel together but need separate beds. If guests are using both bed rooms for sleeping, please note that it is necessary to  walk through the Middle East Room of the suite to get to the bathroom.

    • Third/fourth person add $30 per night per person.

  • The Asian Suite


    The Asian Suite is a tribute to the ancient kingdoms of  China, Japan and Korea.  The bedroom has a queen size bed covered with layers of decorator cloth, a down comforter during the winter and 400 count cotton bedding as well as an assortment of pillows to pamper you.  The suite is painted in relaxing,  luxurious, hues of  Wedgwood blue.  A collection of Oriental Art adorn the walls and Chinese Tensing carpets cover the floors.

    The Sitting Room is a place to contemplate your latest New Orleans adventure. It is furnished with a small sleeper sofa and Bamboo Kings chairs.   From the sitting room there is a second private entrance to the gallery that overlooks the courtyard and our garden.  Guests are asked to use the rear gallery for smoking.   A small refrigerator is stocked with complimentary soda's, juice and bottled water.  The bathroom of the Asian Suite has an antique claw foot tub outfitted with a shower and features an antique water closet.

  • North American Cottage

    The North American Cottage is a located in the courtyard with direct access to our  garden.   The cottage pre-dates the main house and was moved to the property from a nearby plantation to be used as the construction foreman's quarters while the house was being built.  Later uses included a Garsonaire and as a milk house  It was designed as a quiet, secluded get-a-way and  to accommodate our physically challenged friends.  It has a small mini-bar with refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker.   



    In contrast to the main house, the cottage celebrates the "New World".  It is furnished with classic American Shaker style furnishings and James J. Audubon lithographs adorn the walls.  The queen size bed is outfitted with 400 count cotton bedding and is piled high with an assortment of pillows to pamper you.    The  private porch  over looks the garden and beckons you to sit, relax and enjoy the atmosphere after a hard day of sightseeing in the French Quarter.       

    The bathroom is accessed through antique cypress French doors with frosted glass inserts and the dark, rich cypress walls evoke an era gone by.  It is equipped with a two person, walk-in / roll-in shower .

  • European Suite

    The  European Suite is our  premier accommodation and was once the Masters Quarters of the house.  The bright and airy sitting room with access to a private gallery that overlooks the historic Esplanade allows guests a private retreat to unwind after adventuring to one of our city's many historic attractions. It is appointed with a comfortable sleeper sofa that opens to a queen size bed.  A pair of easy chairs , coffee table and 18th Century Trumeau mirror complete the rooms furnishings.  On the walls are a collection of lithographs of the owner's travels throughout Europe.   Both sitting room and the bedroom have 12-foot ceilings and retain original fireplace mantles and ceramic tile hearths.   Guests are asked to use the gallery for smoking.  There is a small refrigerator in the bedroom closet stocked with complimentary soda's, juice and bottled water.



    The  European Suite's spacious bedroom recall's Europe's Imperial past.  It is painted  a rich and romantic "Opera House Red", a popular color found in many historical New Orleans homes. The king size bed is outfitted with 450 count  cotton bedding and piled high with an assortment of pillows to suit almost any individual's tastes.

    The spacious bathroom is original to the house and has wainscoting, an antique marble sink and antique claw-foot bathtub outfitted with a shower. We feature Greenwich Bay Natural and Eco-friendly amenities and thick, plush California Cotton Spa towels.

  • Reservations & Policies

    • Accepted Payment Methods: Visa,  Master Card, AMEX, Discover,  Cash and Travelers Checks,
    • Deposit Amount Required:  Equal to one nights room rate.  Deposit is non-refundable.  Balance is due upon arrival.
    • Minimum stay required:  normally not required for  weekdays,   2 nights on weekends.  Special events require a longer minimum stay - please see room pages for information.
    • Smoking is not permitted in the house or the cottage.  Outside areas are provided for smokers.
    • Cancellations/Deposits: One (1) night room rate is charged at booking and is a non-refundable deposit.  The balance is due upon arrival.  Remaining nights must be cancelled in writing two weeks (14 days) prior to arrival date to avoid full charges for all nights booked.  Special events require a one month (30 days)  written notice.  No cash or credit refunds are given.
    • Pets can be accommodated depending on size in the North American Cottage. Pet owners are responsible for any and all damages to the guest room or the common areas that are caused by the pet while it is on premise.
    • Accommodations are not suitable for children.  Children under 15 are not allowed.
    • Check in time is 3:00 pm and Check out time is 12:00 noon.  Early or late Check-ins or Check-outs require advance coordination when the reservation is made.
  • Pets Welcome

    • Pets can be accommodated depending on size. There is no additional charge nor deposit.
    • Normally 25 pounds and under can be handled without any problem. Large animals must be crated while in room. Prior coordination is required.
