The Marigny is located only six short blocks from the French Quarter. New Orleans block are short, not like Cities. Locals and return visitors know the Marigny for its reputation for great restaurants, nightclubs, and entertainment.     Travelers stay with us becaue we are close to the French Quarter.

    We advertise that we have a Jacuzzi and our rooms are extra private.

    If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?

    The #1 reason to visit New Orleans is to party! Another popular reason us how rich in history New Orleans is.

    What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?

    Guests love that we are in a safe area and close to the French Quarter, transportation, etc.

    What’s the best kept secret about the area?

    We are in an area called The Marigny; we are east of the French Quarter and folk’s sometime stay in the garden district. Our home was built in the 1840’s, whereas the Garden District homes were bulit in the early 1910's.

    If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area?

    Guests staying for more than a couple of nights should visit old homes, The French Quarter, the Mississippi River, swamps, foods galore, and many, many other attractions.

    Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?

    Just about everything is within walking distance including The French Quarter, the river, old homes, crooked streets, we’re like a Bohemia area (very different).

    What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area?

    We love and recommend Irene’s Cuisine on St. Peter.

    We have 5 units and can sleep up to 16 people.

    IMPORTANT So that we are here to greet you please let us know your itinerary / arrival time. We want to make sure we are here to greet you Office normally closes at 5PM and we can make special arrangements for late arrivals. We have a lock-box in front of the house with a secret code. When your plane/train arrives or when driving in please call us when you reach New Orleans to let us know you are here at 504-324-4311. When driving please keep us posted on where you are 30 minutes before you reach New Orleans. Ask the cab driver when coming from the West ask the driver to take the I-610 off at Elysian Fields. This saves time. The cost to get here, (1008 Elysian Fields Ave.) in the Marigny or anywhere in the French Quarter is $31, plus $2/$3 for a fuel surcharge. Plus whatever gratuity you wish to give.
