The Main Mansion offers four enormous guest rooms, each with 15 foot ceilings, 150 year-old broad heart-pine flooring and endless original historic detail. Each oversized bathroom has a claw foot tub as well as showers. Room 1 has a private front porch, Room 2 can be accessed either via the main staircase or from the rear courtyard. Room 3 is very private and has its own sitting porch and wet bar/fridge. Our third floor honeymoon suite with private sitting balcony is very popular as well and every bedroom in the Main Mansion has a King Size Bed!

Honeymoon/ Penthouse Suite

The only room located on the 3rd floor of the main Mansion. Very large room with king size bed and two twin beds. Includes small kithenette with sink, fridge and microwave. Bathroom includes claw foot tub.Two entrances, one through main house, the other leads private outside sitting balcony. Perfect for luxurious romantic getaways or families. Can sleep up to 4 people. The Bordello Mansion pays homage to the wanton pleasures that were Storyville -- New Orleans legalized red light district that flourished around the turn of the last century. Each room has been decorated in a different shade of red and is named after a famous New Orleans madame of the time...

Each room features deluxe queen sized canopy or four poster beds, (one room has king size), hardwood floors, high ceilings, hand sewn bedding and drapes and beau coups eccentric flourishes everywhere. This room, "Lulu White's Mahogany Hall of Mirrors" is our homage to one of the flamboyant and successful madames of the Storyville era.

Good for friends who don't want to share beds, small families (couple plus 1 or 2 small children). If you want more than 2 people, please contact us. Queen bed. (NOTa bunk bed). Very cheerful and a guest favorite. 2 person occupancy. Ground floor, with French Doors which open to courtyard. Large, festively colored handicap accessible bathroom with full tub/shower. Can be connected with the room above, Cottage 4, to become a duplex suite with two full bathrooms.

Cottage 2

Recently repainted with blue walls. King size bed on the first floor of the Cottage. One of the largest rooms in the Cottage with plenty of floor space and full cheery handicap accessible bathroom. Refrigerator. Has small bench suitable for child to sleep on as well.

Rate Information

Regular season most rooms $99 to $149 weekends, $79 to $139 weekdays. Off season and last minute rates as low as $59 a night! Weekly and extended stay rates also, subject to availability!

Creole Gardens is known for providing a hip, fun and creative guest experience. Our mantra has always been "we're not your grandma's old bed and breakfast." We've developed a reputation for being hip and fun by avoiding oppressive rules and regulations. However, the realities of the hotel business dictate that certain terms and conditions be enforced to not only protect our business interests but to insure the safety and enjoyment of all our guests.

Policies

We are a small, family owned inn. All our rooms are different and unique and we only have 24 of them. Because of that we cannot operate like the big chains. If you book a room, we cannot refund your deposit if you cancel less than 14 days before you are supposed to arrive and we can't refund your money if you check out early. During special events or for group bookings or special discounted package rates, we need at least 60 days notice if you need to cancel and special policies will be in effect.

Deposits
A deposit equal to 50% of your entire stay (plus applicable sales tax) will be charged to your credit card at the time of booking. Once you have received an email confirmation from us stating that your deposit has been charged, then your reservation is guaranteed.

Cancellation Policies
Cancellations via phone are not recognized or honored because a phone call cannot be verified. For your protection as well as ours, we require that all cancellations be made in writing via email or snail mail. Our normal cancellation period is 14 days prior to the date of arrival. A $25 cancellation fee applies to all reservations. Cancellations more than 14 days prior to arrival will be refunded the 50% deposit minus a $25 cancellation fee. Cancellations within 14 days of arrival forfeit the deposit.

The following holidays/events require alternate cancellation periods:
Mardi Gras/French Quarter Festival/Jazz Festival/Essence Festival/Bayou Classic/Sugar Bowl/Southern Decadence/VooDoo Festival/Papa Noel/New Years Weekend/Conventions = Cancellations must be in writing no less than 60 days prior to arrival date. Always consult your reservation confirmation for the appropriate cancellation policy.

Early Check Outs
There is no refund for checking out earlier than the number of days agreed on at time of booking.

Payment Method
We accept cash, VISA, Master Card, American Express, Discover, and traveler's checks for payment of your balance at check in. You must place a valid credit card on file at the time of reservation for payment of the reservation deposit. Cardholder must be one of the individuals occupying the guest room and present at check in to sign any and all credit card transactions used for the reservation deposit and/or balance at check in. We do not accept personal or business checks. Reservation balance is due in full at time of check in.

Age Restrictions
Creole Gardens is kid friendly. We welcome guests with children and only ask that our young guests respect antique furnishings, common areas, plants/trees and that other guests are not inconvenienced.

Arrival Times
Reservations are only guaranteed until 8:00 pm and will be considered a "no show" after that time - unless prior written arrangements have been made and confirmed in writing directly with Creole Gardens. Your expected arrival time is necessary for us to confirm your reservation. Please let us know if it changes in route, so that someone can be on hand to greet you.

Check In/Check Out
Check in time is 3 pm (Central Time) - Check out time is 12 noon. If arriving later than 8:00 pm or earlier than 3 pm, you must make advance arrangements with Creole Gardens. Our reception desk is not staffed full time so your arrival time is important. We want to be on hand to greet you.

Note: Check Ins later than 10 pm may be subject to a $10 Late Check In Fee.

Rooms
All guest rooms include private bath (en suite), phone, color TV, AC/Heat and internet port. Your nightly rate includes full southern breakfast daily. Creole Gardens reserves the right to substitute normal breakfast service with an enhanced continental breakfast due to staffing shortages or any other unknown reason(s) without advance notice or refund. We do not have an elevator.

Smoking
Creole Gardens guest rooms and Main Mansion public rooms are SMOKE-FREE. Smoking in guest rooms is absolutely prohibited. Smoking in guest rooms is subject to a $150.00 fee. Smoking is only allowed in the courtyard. Please dispose of your butts.

Special Needs
Please state in writing any special needs you have, such as ability to climb stairs, need of a refrigerator for medicine or baby formula, iron and ironing board, etc.

Minimum Stay/Special Events & Holidays
Normally two nights is required on weekends - Friday & Saturday nights. For special events and holidays, the minimum stay may be longer. Creole Gardens will always communicate minimum night stays and other conditions during the confirmation process.

Groups
Groups are considered 5 rooms or greater. Cancellation policy for group bookings is 30 days prior to arrival. A 50% deposit on all group rooms is required to confirm group bookings, however the balance is due and charged 30 days prior to arrival. Written cancellation notice more than 30 days prior to arrival will be refunded the deposit minus $50.00 cancellation fee. There are no refunds or cancellations within 30 days of arrival for groups. Group reservations must be made directly with Creole Gardens via email or phone and not from the internet.

Weather
There are no refunds due to weather. If the National Weather Service declares a hurricane warning for New Orleans, and you cancel your reservation within the cancellation period - due to this warning or a hurricane. You have the option of a refund (minus $25 cancellation fee) or you can hold your reservation as a credit for a future booking for one year (12 calendar months) from the date of your original scheduled arrival.

Guest Safety
Due to the historical age of our buildings/guest rooms, no candles, incense, coffee makers or cooking is allowed in the rooms at any time. No unregistered overnight guests are allowed in the rooms.

Pets
Creole Gardens is pet friendly. We allow pets with advance reservations. The care, feeding, walking and behavior of your pet is your responsibility. We reserve the right to restrict the number of pets or apply a minimal pet fee based on weight, behavior or hygiene. Pets are not allowed to run free and must be on a leash at all times outside the guest room. Pets must be walked off premises.

Parking
Complimentary parking is provided based on availability. NO RV's, U-Hauls, moving vans, trailers or large trucks allowed. There are no guaranteed/reserved parking spaces. There is plenty of unrestricted and safe on-street parking directly in front of the hotel.

That Truly Loves Pets! No Pet Fees! No Weight Restriction! No Arbitrary Limits!

We at the Creole Gardens Bed and Breakfast love and adore animals. We want you to be able to bring all your four legged family members! Unlike most "pet friendly" hotels or bed and breakfasts, we have NO pet fees and we dont have a mandatory restriction on how many fur babies you can bring or how much they can weigh (large and overweight critters like to go fun places too!).

Just let us know at the time you book that youre bringing your fur family and who they are. All well behaved animals, who wont disturb the other guests, are welcome. We dont have any mandatory pet fees or restrictions (obviously, if you want to bring 10 Irish Wolfhounds, we may have to suggest you take more than one room!). We will charge you only if they leave a mess or chew the curtains or leave us a little deposit on the rug or if we have to do any extra cleaning for odor or shedding. Since youre responsible pet guardians, were sure youll try not to let that happen anyway.

And please dont leave your pets alone in a strange hotel room if you think theyre going to have separation anxiety - or disturb the other others with their barking. Its not fair to either your pet or the other guests.

EXTRA BONUS:
Theres a wonderful pet friendly park right around the corner from us. Well behaved dogs are allowed off the leash and there are "pooper scooper" bags for your use. Walk your canine pal over to Coliseum Square Park, just two blocks away and enjoy the fresh air with the neighbors. Its 3 blocks long and 1 block wide and surrounded by a wonderful assortment of 1880s era rambling mansions. Meet the locals (writers, politicians, movie stars, artists) and give your pooch some good exercise.

EXTRA EXTRA BONUS:
The world famous New Orleans levee is just a 10 minute drive uptown from us. And by "world famous" we mean famous amongst dogs in the know, because every savvy New Orleans pooch knows that the levee, at the end of Magazine Street, is simply the best place to run, sniff, play, romp and even swim! Acres and acres of grass along the Mississippi River and even a little pebble beach. We like to say its the happiest place in New Orleans. And if you head over there on weekends and during "happy hour" times, its a great way to meet the locals and Tulane and Loyola students and faculty members.
