Travelers stay with us because we are located in the Uptown/Garden District of New Orleans on historic Saint Charles Avenue. Visitors to the city for sightseeing, leisure/pleasure, honeymoons, conventions/business, sporting events and to be close to Tulane and Loyola Universities stay with us.
What are you best known for? What makes your inn unique? What do you love most about your inn?
We are best known for being in one of America's Greatest tourism cities; #1 in Food and Wine according to national traveler's magazines. We are unique in that we are only minutes away via streetcar from all the fun and revelry of the French Quarter yet we are easy to come home to for a peaceful rest at night. We love the Inn because of its 11,000 sq ft size with all the history and architecture that goes with a 120 year old mansion in New Orleans.
If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?
New Orleans an adult play land with something for everyone: World Class food, Jazz music, night life and great venues like the French Quarter, World War II Museum, Superdome, the plantations and the Louisiana Bayous. All within easy reach from the Avenue Inn Bed and Breakfast.
What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?
Almost every guest that stays with us says that they slept better here than even their own bed at home, and that they really appreciated the insiders tips and suggestions that we offer to make their stay special.
What’s the best kept secret about the area?
New Orleans is really a small town that appears city like. We have all the trappings of a large metropolitan area but the people are warm and friendly and make visitors feel special. Combined with our food and entertainment, it's quite a pleasant surprise for most newcomers.
If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area?
Guests staying for more than a couple of nights should take a riding tour of the city, visit the French Quarter, dine in our world class restaurants, spend an evening with Jazz on Frenchman street, visit the World War II & Mardi Gras Museums, spend a day in Plantation country, enjoy a Swamp/Bayou tour, and shop on Magazine Street.
Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?
We have a many boutique and eclectic eateries nearby, and Magazine Street, loaded with shops, antiques and restaurants is six blocks from our door.
What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area?
Among our favorite restaurants are Commander's Palace, Upperline, Clancy's, Superior Seafood and Oyster Bar, La Petite Grocery, Bistro Daisy, Martinique's Bistro, JacqueImmo in our neighborhood; 1,400 world class overall in the city only minutes away.

Public Space Arrangements and Service
- We can offer a complete per person or per room package for an event or you can select the embellishments that you want and we can price them for you. Here are a few of the amenities we provide:
- Floral enhancements including meeting space decorations, seating, flower arrangements in rooms, corsage, bouquet and boutonniÃ¨re
- Ministerial services provided by a state licensed non-denominational minister who will assist with obtaining a marriage license
- Food and Beverage catering for an intimate reception after the wedding or for food functions during a retreat or meeting
- Music support for your event including harpist, violin, or a marching Jazz quartet
- Transportation via limo, horse-drawn carriage for two or private streetcar for an entire group
- Event planning at the Zoo, Aquarium, D-day museum, local restaurants, plantation or swamp trips or unusual venues like the Wax Museum, Mardi Gras World, or Southern Comfort Bar tour of the French Quarter
Weddings and Anniversaries
The Avenue Inn prides itself in hosting very intimate events and you will take pride in the memories that we help you create. We can arrange a wonderful experience for 2 up to 40 people including lodging, the ceremony for a wedding or vow renewal, floral enhancements, catering and/or transportation to receptions or functions immediately following the service.

Terms and Conditions
Room rates are based on the season of the year and will vary depending upon the group size, day of week and length of stay. Meeting room rental is contingent upon the number of rooms reserved. Catering and floral services are arranged through licensed vendors who have contractual agreements with the Inn. We do not allow outside vendors on the premises for liability requirements. All events are pre-paid with an advanced deposit of 50% due at the time of signing an agreement.
