Listed on the National Registry of Historic Homes, This 1860 Creole/Caribbean residence is one of the oldest homes in town and overlooks the legendary Bayou Teche. The abandoned and boarded up home was bought and restored in the mid 1990s.
We are located in historic downtown Breaux Bridge on Washington Street.

Enjoy breakfast at the cafe at your leisure. The inn consists of four guestrooms each with its own private bath, antique furnishings, and direct access to the porch overlooking the gardens and bayou. Famous Louisiana designers - Messieurs Peter Curry, Robert Smith and Joel Theriot - designed and decorated the guestrooms. Each guestroom has high ceilings and old cypress long leaf pinewood floors and is decorated with original art. Breaux Suite: Rooms 2 (Lemelle) and 3 (Picou) can be combined and turned into a suite that accommodates up to 4 people.
Business Needs: We cater to all your business needs - wireless internet, fax, and copy machine. In- house breakfast and laundry services are available upon request. Bird Lovers: Lake Martin has the largest U.S. wading bird nesting area, is listed as one of the top 10 Audubon picks for birding and is just 10 minutes away.
Stroll in the lush landscaped gardens or read the daily paper in the rattan rocking chairs in the gazebo. Guests can relax in or outside the glassed-in porch and sunroom. Take exit 109 off of I-10 and drive south on Rees Street until you reach the end of the road at Bridge Street. Turn right onto Bridge Street and cross the bridge. Turn left onto Washington Street. Maison Des Amis is the third house on the left. Parking is located at the back of the visitors center parking lot.
