Riverside Inn Bed & Breakfast

We are pleased to offer five king sized suites and two queen sized rooms. Each are adorned with all new and exceptionally comfortable furnishings and tastefully decorated in neutral colors. The king suites feature new private bathrooms with tiled showers and double vanities with granite tops. All of our rooms offer complete privacy for all of our guests, with no common walls between them. Click on the room photo to view additional photos and room amenities.

• We will do everything possible to make your stay most enjoyable. To ensure you will have a very pleasant experience at Riverside Inn Bed and Breakfast, we have established the following policies. Please take a few minutes to review these policies, and feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
• Room Rates: The room rates include double occupancy and a full breakfast. Rates are quoted per night excluding tax. Reduced rates for long term stays are available.
• The entire Riverside Inn and grounds are available to rent for corporate retreats or other groups (with a minimum 2 night stay) and should be booked directly with the Inn Keeper by phone. At this time, we are unable to accommodate larger events such as weddings or events larger than the number of guests staying at the Inn.
• Our prices and policies may vary for special events, holiday periods, and group bookings. Reservations and gift certificates are non-transferable.
• Check In/Check Out: We will be awaiting your arrival between 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Arrangements for late arrivals should be made in advance with the Inn Keeper. Checkout time is at 11:00 a.m. Late checkout may be available if our housekeeping schedule allows, and must be arranged on the day of arrival or before.
• Minimum Stays for the Inn: During the major Kentucky Speedway events (July and October) and all major holiday weekends, there is a two night minimum stay required. Major holiday weekends include: Valentine's Day holiday period, Good Friday through Easter Sunday, the July 4th holiday period, Labor Day weekend, Thanksgiving Eve thru the Saturday following Thanksgiving, and December 23rd through January 2nd.
• Confirming a Reservation For the Inn: Advance reservations are required and the Inn does not accept walk-in guests. Last minute reservations (less than 48 hours prior to arrival) should be made by phone only. A confirmed reservation for a one-night stay must be paid in full, including applicable taxes. A confirmed reservation for two or more nights requires a 50% deposit of the total stay, including taxes. The balance of your stay is due upon check-in. We must have a valid credit card number on file at the time of your booking, even if you are paying the balance by other means.
• The preferred methods of payment to the Riverside Inn are by major credit card, gift certificate or cash. Only corporate checks will be accepted.
• Cancellation Policy for the Inn: Making a reservation at a bed and breakfast is not the same as making a hotel reservation. Due to our small size, cancellations affect us significantly. A last minute cancellation gives us little chance of re-booking a room. For this reason we uphold a strict cancellation policy. Guests are responsible for payment of all nights reserved regardless of their actual arrival or departure date. No-shows are also responsible for full payment of their entire reservation. Cancellation of (including changes to) a confirmed reservation must be made 10 or more days prior to your scheduled arrival to receive a refund. All cancellations are subject to a $30.00 administrative processing fee per room, per night. Cancellation of (including changes to) a confirmed reservation made 9 days or less prior to your scheduled arrival will only receive a refund if we can re-book the room to other guests, minus a $30.00 administrative processing fee per room, per night. There are no exceptions to this policy including sickness, family emergencies, or weather related issues. Naturally, we will make every effort to re-rent the room and return your deposit. 30 Days Notice of Cancellation is Required for These Circumstances: A group booking of three or more rooms.
• Major holiday reservations including the Valentine's Day holiday period, Good Friday through Easter Sunday, the July 4th holiday period, Labor Day weekend, Thanksgiving Eve thru the Saturday following Thanksgiving, and December 23rd through January 2nd.
• Weekends of Kentucky Speedway events: Payment for rooms during these events are due in full 30 days prior to event dates.
• Breakfast Times: A breakfast buffet is served from 7:30-9:00 a.m. Our Inn Keepers are happy to accommodate earlier or later times if arranged in advance. Please let us know of any food allergies.
• Alcoholic Beverages: The Riverside Inn does not hold a license to resell alcoholic beverages. Guests may bring their own, but for the safety and comfort of all of our guests, please drink responsibly. There are several establishments to purchase locally as well.
• Smoking & Candle Burning: Due to the historic nature of our building, and for the safety and comfort of all of our guests, we do not allow smoking or incense/candle burning in any of our guest rooms or on any of the grounds of the Riverside Inn. Inn guests smoking in the house or on the grounds will be charged a minimum $200 fee and up to return any rooms to a non-smoking status.
• Guests, Children and Pets at the Inn: We cater to the comfort, privacy and security of our registered guests. Guest visitors are only permitted on the property with prior Inn Keeper approval. If you would like to have any non-registered guests join you for breakfast there is an additional charge of $15 per person, and advance notice to the innkeeper is required.
• Riverside Inn is regarded as a quiet escape and romantic getaway for most of our guests, and we work hard to foster that environment. Therefore, it is not an appropriate place for children under 12.
• We regret that we are not able to accommodate guest pets. The Innkeepers’ cat is confined to the owners’ quarters.
• Wedding Night Stays: If you are you booking a stay for your wedding night, please be advised that our guest rooms, common areas and grounds are for our registered guests only. Booking a reservation for a stay does not entitle a bride or groom, family and friends to use any guest room or any part of the Inn or grounds for bridal party wedding preparations and photographs without the Inn Keeper's approval.
• Massage Appointments: The Riverside Inn offers a private room dedicated for our guests to book massage appointments with our visiting licensed massage therapist. We recommend that you call the Inn to make your massage appointments with as much advance notice as possible. Appointments must be cancelled 48 hours in advance to avoid full charge.
• Damages: While reasonable wear and tear is anticipated, negligent damages found to be the responsibility of a guest will be assessed and charged to the guest. Please report all spills to the innkeepers promptly.
