The Courting Chamber
The charming Courting Chamber boasts a view of the meadow and the pool. During winter, you can look through the branches of the trees and get a glimpse of the lake.A decorative fireplace adds to the ambience, and antique portraits decorating the walls follow the courtship theme by depicting couples in love.
The authentic, full-sized 1820's rope bed has a modern foam mattress by Supple-Pedic.
The accompanying bath is magnificent, complete with a superb, oval-shaped whirlpool bath for two, a separate tiled shower and a large, dry sink vanity -- all equipped with pewter-look fixtures and the conveniences you would expect in a lavish bathroom. The brick wall, reminiscent of this room's origin as a sleeping porch, lends to the feel of times past.
What a romantic setting for a honeymoon or anniversary celebration!

The Presidents' Chamber
This bedchamber is probably the room used by Mr. and Mrs. Tucker as their personal sleeping room, as evidenced by the presence of two closets.Beautifully appointed with a walnut, four-poster queen-sized bed, wonderful antiques (some of which are family pieces) and a decorative fireplace, this room offers views of both the front and rear of the property, as well as the garden.
A special feature of this room is the collection of portraits of many of our country's early presidents, including Presidents Abraham Lincoln and Zachary Taylor, both from Kentucky.
The adjoining bathroom features a large whirlpool tub with shower and a washstand adapted for modern use.

The Traveler's Room
The Traveler's Room was so called because it was customary during the time that Nancy Jane and Hazael lived here for travelers to stop at strangers' homes and ask for a room for the night. A separate outside staircase allows our guests private access to this room. This was the "Bed and Breakfast" room of 1840.A small, exclusive deck with table and chairs invites you to sip beverages and relax while enjoying the glorious view of the back woods and the pool. The four-poster cannonball bed beckons you with indulgent linens and beautiful bedding -- and boasts a surprise, antique trundle bed beneath it! This bed provides ample room for a small child.
Inside the Traveler's Room is a private bath with an authentic 1800's washstand with china basin.
