The Roost Inn (formerly the Inn Off the Alley)

The Roost Inn at Le Gallo Rosso, (formerly known as the Inn Off the Alley), is set in the heart of Louisville's Historic and Eclectic Neighborhood, The Highlands. Three suites are available in the 100-year old Victorian which also houses Le Gallo Rosso Italian Bistro (the Red Rooster). The Highlands features over 300 locally-owned shops, restaurants, and galleries surrounding and within walking distance of the Inn. The Highlands is also centrally located in Louisville, just minutes from Downtown, Churchill Downs, and the Airport.
 

Each suite has a private entrance, private bath, full kitchen and queen-sized bed. Sweet Alice is the largest suite and includes a couch with a hide-a-bed for additional guests. Cotswold Cottage is the medium-sized suite and Hunt Country is the coziest suite. An in-room continental breakfast is provided and can be enjoyed at your leisure.

Owner and Chef of Le Gallo Rosso Italian Bistro, Annette Saco, uses her grandmother's recipes and offers a casual and authentic Italian atmosphere. Open for dinner, reservations are recommended.

At Le Gallo Rosso (The Red Rooster), you'll feel as if you just stepped into a Rustic Italian Villa. Chef and Owner Annette Saco users her grandmother's recipes to create her famous Deep Dish Lasagna, Gorgonzola Fettuccini, and Chicken Marsala. The Bistro is located on the first floor of the Inn. Open for dinner, reservations are recommended.
