    The Meek House is a charming Gothic Revival home that takes its name from the man who built it in 1869, Benjamin F. Meek, a silversmith who helped develop the Meek and Milam fishing reel.

    Its location, a half block east of Capital Avenue and Third Street, is within walking distance of the Kentucky State Capitol and historic downtown Frankfort's many attractions.

    		 The Inn's spacious rooms and quiet surroundings make it a pleasant retreat. Breakfast is served in the large and gracious dining room. The parlor is a great place to read, enjoy a game of chess or even play the piano. Guests may enjoy the garden while sitting on the patio watching birds drink from the pond.

    From Lexington and east:
    Take exit #58 off I-64. Follow US 60 west about five miles toward downtown Frankfort. Turn left following US 60 across the Capital Avenue Bridge. Continue straight for two blocks. Turn left on Third Street. The Meek House is 1/2 block on the right at 119 East Third Street.

    From Louisville and west:
    Take exit #53 off I-64. Follow US 127 north about two miles to US 60 east. Turn right on US 60 and follow it down a large hill. Continue to the fourth stoplight after the hill. Turn right on Capital Avenue and go one block. Turn left on Third Street. The Meek House is 1/2 block on the right at 119 East Third Street.
