  • Introduction

Conveniently located on the boundary of Mammoth Cave National Park and just five miles from Cave City. The Wayfarer Bed & Breakfast, formerly the Mammoth Cave Souvenier Shop, was built in 1933 and recently renovated to provide our guests with a relaxed down home atmosphere. In addition to its beautiful setting, guests may enjoy nearby hiking trails, a large lot for outdoor activities or just unwind on the spacious front porch.

Each of our five guest rooms is comfortable, tastefully decorated and furnished with a combination of old and new.

In the mornings, view the sunlight in the dining room with a hot cup of freshly brewed coffee while waiting for a truly Southern breakfast. Breakfast at The Wayfarer features the award winning Broadbent country ham, served with hot biscuits, eggs, cheese grits, and fried apples. Our selection of Broadbent secret cured country ham is the same brand which has won blue ribbons numerous times at the Kentucky State Fair and is served at the Kentucky Derby Governor's breakfast!

If you like the pleasure of good conversation, TV viewing, playing cards and games or just propping your feet up, our living room will be the evening highlight.

The Wayfarer is not only a Bed & Breakfast, we also offer a Gift Shop and the Floyd Collins Museum. The Wayfarer Gift Shop offers hand made Kentucky crafts, antiques, country hams, and a selection of Kentucky candles, jams and jellies.
