Stafford Bed and Breakfasts
Stafford is located a few miles east of St. John, the county seat of Stafford County, which is in south central Kansas. In this town you will fine many excellent B&Bs. Stafford is a great place for birdwatchers, who will want to visit the Quivira National Wildlife Refuge, located northeast of Stafford. Local history is celebrated and preserved at The Stafford County Historical and Genealogical Society and Museum, which has outgrown its first building and now encompasses two additional annexes. The genealogical library is located on the first floor of the original building. Your Stafford bread and breakfast will be a perfect starting point to explore the local attractions and events. Stafford's Annual Rodeo is held the second weekend in July and features a rodeo parade, a BBQ and city-wide garage sales. Octoberfest is held on the first Saturday of each October. Many class reunions of Stafford high school alumni are held during this event. Revelers enjoy a parade and street dance, while they admire crafts at artisansÂ’ booths. Hungry after resting up at your Stafford inn or B&B? The Curtis Cafe on South Main Street has great pie and is decorated with jigsaw puzzles everywhere! For a quick sandwich to take along to the wildlife reserve, you'll want to try Paul's Deli, also on South Main Street.
