    The Morning Star B&B is located in the heart of downtown Manhattan, Kansas. In 2009, it was listed on the National Historic Register as part of the Houston and Pierre Streets Historic Residential District. While the historic details of the home have been preserved, the house has been extensively rennovated for guests’ comfort and convenience. Every guest room has a private bath with a large jacuzzi tub. The high ceilings, tall windows, original woodwork, tile fireplace and oak and leather furniture add to the feeling of relaxation. Guests are welcome to make themselves at home in the spacious living room and on the broad front porch to unwind during their stay at The Morning Star.

    The Morning Star offers five inviting corner rooms with private baths. Named after favorite teas, each comfortable room features an old-fashioned bed made up with all-cotton sheets and down comforters. The highlight of the large bathrooms is the two-person Jacuzzi in each. Many of the niceties of home, including cotton towels and bathrobes, are provided. All rooms have phones and access to free wireless internet.

    The Morning Star is open year-round including Thanksgiving and Christmas. Special event weekends such as graduation, game days, and Country Stampede fill up quickly so get your request in soon so you can come enjoy the pleasure of staying at Manhattan’s favorite bed and breakfast!

    Located in the heart of downtown Manhattan, The Morning Star is easy to find and just minutes off I-70. A few of the neighborhood landmarks to help you find us are the Manhattan Public Library (right across the street) and the Seven Dolors church (kitty corner behind us).
