Lawrence Bed and Breakfasts
Lawrence is the sixth largest city in Kansas and the county seat of Douglas County. You can find a large variety of activities in Lawrence, including music shows, disc golf, yoga, hiking, and swimming at Clinton Lake. The Wakarusa Music and Camping Festival is a four-day-long music festival that will give you an experience you won't forget. Residents hold this annual celebration in early June just outside Lawrence at Clinton State Park. Those who would prefer not to camp will find that there are many Lawrence inns and B&Bs available. Also, each May the city hosts the "Art in the Park" festival in South Park, a uniquely designed greenspace in downtown Lawrence. Lawrence provides a college-town feel with characteristics such as a radical library, two microbreweries and a half dozen locally owned coffeehouses. Some fantastic restaurants include upscale Pachamama's Restaurant, which offers exquisite food with a great atmosphere and wait staff, as well as authentic El Mezcal Mexican Restaurant, a festive restaurant with great service. Visitors will enjoy staying in one of the Lawrence bed and breakfasts located in the area.
