The Country Connection Bed & Breakfast

We have 3 guest rooms. All feature beautiful quilted and very comfortable queen beds, TVs, ceiling fans, and much much more. There is a shared bath between the second floor Grandmother's Room and the Four Season's Room. Grandpa's Getaway, our room on the main floor, has a private bath.

Guests are free to use the majority of the main floor for their enjoyment. Activities can include reading, playing the piano, and chess, etc. Dish network is available as well as Internet connection. Many guests stroll the property, the country roads, often admiring a sunrise or sunset, and times in between. Walking trails carpeted with native wildflowers can be enjoyed at the Prairie Learning Center (3 miles away). This tranquility surpasses the urban life. A beautiful view of the bountiful croplands surrounds us. This can truly be a home away from home.

We are a country inn with memories and treasures from all the 6 generations who have had a part of this dwelling. We are located approximately 20 minutes East of Des Moines. The State Fair grounds and many more attractions are just a short drive away. Enjoy the activities of the city, but rest in the tranquil environment of a rural setting. A most frequent comment, "It's so quiet and peaceful out here".
