    This 1950’s Frank Lloyd Wright style home sits on nine rolling acres in town features an apple orchard, peaceful gardens and magnificent country views from practically every window!  The Inn has four themed bedrooms with private baths -- all rooms have spectacular views of the South River Valley and the picture-perfect Grant Wood countryside. Located just minutes away from three wineries and the City of Des Moines. Our amenities are many, but here are a few:

    Our kitchen has a wall of windows to the south overlooking the river valley and the spacious yard. Guests can also choose to have their morning coffee, or even breakfast, on the patio area. It is located just off the kitchen. A terrific spot to sip a glass of wine from one the local vineyards!

    Shirred eggs with spinach, mushrooms and cheese, Bosnian bread and homemade rhubarb jam, and ham.
    Belgian waffles, fruit and whipped cream, bacon and sausage
    Blue corn pancakes,  chorizo sausage, salsa and mango with lime.
    Rhubarb and apples are a specialty of the Inn and one or the other is served in some form most mornings.
    Picnics and sack lunches are available to guests.

    Garden and Galley is located just minutes south of the capitol of Des Moines, Iowa, and within 15 minutes of the Des Moines International Airport. The newly completed Highway 5 bypass provides convenient access to major interstate highways 35 & 80.

    As Iowa’s capital city, Des Moines is a hub of business activity, arts and cultural events, terrific shopping and government in action. Des Moines is headquarters for many and varied businesses but leading the pack is the Insurance industry. The city is connected by several miles of enclosed, climate-controlled skywalks which provide total comfort in navigating from place to place for shopping, dining, and exploring. Whether on business or pleasure, Des Moines and Indianola are sure to have something to offer every traveler.

    The Garden and Galley B&B is a member of the Heart Of Iowa Wine Trail and the perfect home-base from which to visit and tour at least six (6) Iowa wineries.

    Annett Nature Center: Located near Lake Ahquabi State Park, it home to the Warren County Conservation Board and features a beautiful facility which offers an educational look at Warren County’s natural resources.     Wesley Woods Camp & Retreat Center: Wesley Woods is a 344 acre year round Christian facility with modern lodges, meeting rooms, and great food in a beautiful natural setting next the Lake Ahquabi.     Indianola Town Square: Your visit to this classic block in Indianola provides and eclectic array of shops, restaurants and services.
