The Heron's Nest The Heron's Nest, is how we came to be the The Blue Heron Guest House. As a Blue Heron comes to feed morning and evening below this room on the banks. This room has views of the lake from two different sides, and is a great place to enjoy your breakfast overlooking the lake.
The Water's Edge A skywalk, above the Great Room, leads you to the Waters Edge suite. Winona Lake surrounds you from right to left, as the room is encompased by the lake. A private balcony allows you privacy to relax and enjoy. The location of this room allows you to experience a beautiful sunset, the sun rise as well as the rising of the moon over the lake. A very scenic room in the Guesthouse.
Empyrean Suite Our favorite room is the Empyrean Suite. As you arise for your day and look out onto the lake, guests can experience a feeling of floating on the water. The Empyrean Suite offers great views and a private bath with two sinks, shower, and a bidet.
Rates range from $169 to $249 depending on the season and the room you have chosen. All rates include
fresh flowers in your room, luxurious linens & robes, and of course, a scrumptious warm breakfast.Winona Lake is an all sport lake, so you can enjoy everything from a nice, relaxing pontoon ride to a wild and crazy tubing experience. Winona is also famous for great fishing, especially walleye! Catch your dinner and prepare it at The Blue Heron Guest House over the campfire, just steps away from the waters edge. If golfing is your choice of entertainment, we are minutes away from Stonehenge Country Club, Rozella Golf Course or Tippecanoe Country Club. We can arrange a tee time and you'll be on the course in no time. If you would rather be playing tennis, we have a wonderful Tennis Court facility indoor at the Warsaw Raquet Club or you can play in the park along the shores of Winona Lake. Canoe and sailboat rentals are also available. Winona lake park has full court basketball and volleyball, if you're up for the competition.
There are many great eating establishments in our area, two that are located on Winona Lake which can be accessed by boat! Chose one of our packages that offer to take you to the restaurant by boat. "The Boat Taxi" will drop you off for a romantic dinner, when you are ready we pick you up by boat and include a tour of the shores of Winona Lake! There's nothing like a boat ride as the sun is setting, a wonderful dinner then coming back while the moon light beams across the water!
