The house was built in 1860-61 for farmer and businessman Jeremiah Service and his family. A house that withstood many years of neglect and nearly demolished was purchased by Historic New Carlisle, Inc. and has been transformed to its original grandeur. The Inn features four bedrooms, each with its own unique decor and antique furnishings.
