  • Breakfast at McDowell-Nearing House

Breakfast is served each morning around our Amish-made oak table in the sunny dining room. After that first cup of steaming coffee or tea, enjoy a fresh fruit medley and baked goods. Hot entrees follow and might include an egg dish, French toast, pancakes or waffles with Vermont maple syrup and a breakfast meat. A selection of yogurt and cold cereal is available for smaller appetites. Whatever the season, breakfast at McDowell-Nearing House Bed and Breakfast is a perfect complement to your stay.

Early risers are welcome to savor their coffee or tea in our parlor or library. Although we encourage our guests to enjoy breakfast in the dining room, if you prefer to eat in your room you can arrange to do so at check-in.

We can accommodate most breakfast times depending on your needs for the day.  If you must leave super early, we will see that you don't leave hungry. By prior arrangement we will prepare a “before hours brown bag breakfast” to guests who must depart early. Be sure to ask about this at check in.

We try to accommodate dietary restrictions with advance notice. Please let us know when you make your reservation if you have any food allergies or special dietary requests.
