You will know the minute you arrive on the tree lined property that you have come to the right place to unwind — from the beautiful main house with its wrap around porch, to our unique carriage house with stone silo, to the many common areas designed for your comfort and relaxation.

Plan your next birthday, anniversary, family reunion, girls getaway (shop, scrapbook, lay by the pool and enjoy your favorite book!), guys getaway (fish – golf – hike or lay in the hammock and read/ sleep while enjoying the beauty of nature all around you). Plan a tea party, take a meeting, or host a group event in The Gathering Place — our 350 square foot multi purpose room that features a private entrance and its own multi-level deck.

The beautifully appointed entrance welcomes guests to their destination. Once you arrive you will have full view of the carriage house and its stone silo that contains a spiral staircase leading to Courtney's Suite — a 400 square foot romantic hideaway.  At the foot of that staircase you will find Mollie's Suite with over 350 square feet in which to unwind. Each of these units has its own porch overlooking the woods and the more than 100 feet of porch surrounding the main house, where you will find Nicolle's, Michelle's, and Megan's Suites.

Each room is especially designed to renew your spirit and relax your mind. Breakfast

One of the best treats of staying in a bed & breakfast is awakening to the aroma of fresh coffee brewing, cinnamon bread baking or the delicious smell of bacon frying. Each morning you are invited to join us in the dining room for a breakfast feast. Many of the items served at McKenzie House Bed & Breakfast are provided by the local community – fruits and vegetables grown locally, fresh baked bread from the Amish – fresh Amish farm eggs.

The McKenzie House Bed & Breakfast has been a lifelong dream of mine – owning a place that would give everyone that visits a totally tranquil experience, the opportunity to step out of their hectic life and spend time enjoying nature, a slower pace of life and some pampering. When Bruce and I met – I shared my dream with him and he was ready to make a change in his life and share in my dream. Our journey brought us to Middlebury, a small community in Northern Indiana’s Amish country, that offered what we had looked for and hence “our dream” became a reality. The house is named after my only daughter, McKenzie – the joy of my life. The five suites are named after Bruce 's delightful daughters – Nicolle, Michelle, Megan, Courtney and Mollie. Each of them, though scattered across the United States – have been able to enjoy the house and our new family. Now we invite you to come and enjoy this beautiful place God has so graciously blessed us with and experience the McKenzie House.
