The perfect getaway room – as you wind your way up the spiral staircase to the second floor of the carriage house – you will love what you discover behind the door – a 450 sq ft suite with a king size poster bed – the most luxurious bed you will ever sleep on. You will enjoy the romantic black/ivory décor with red accents. The suite is ideal for that special romantic getaway or for the gathering of several friends. A queen size sleeper sofa and ¾ size rollaway bed gives you additional sleeping accommodations. Rustic wood floors with shaggy area rugs will delight your toes. Indulge yourself and wrap up in the luxurious robes provided for your stay. Up to five guests would be very comfortable in this suite.

Our only single room: Enjoy this room whether you are traveling for business or pleasure. At the end of your day relax in your large private bath that features a Jacuzzi tub and shower. Retreat to your luxurious queen-size bed with a good book or movie from our library. You are sure to enjoy the view of the grounds from your window overlooking the arbor that provides a resting place for many of mother natures’ beautiful feathered friends, as well as the occasional deer, rabbit, chipmunk, or squirrel.

Michelle’s Suite
This two room suite is available on the second floor of the main house. Beautiful hardwood floors and large windows overlooking the woods and pool are just two of the special treats in this suite. You will love curling up in the sitting room where you will be able to enjoy the flat screen TV and picturesque view of the landscaped grounds. Here you will also have a comfortable recliner for that afternoon nap and a writing desk for your convenience.
The futon makes up into a plush queen size bed – perfect for two additional guests to join you.

Mollie’s Suite
Each room is especially designed to renew your spirit and relax your mind starting with: Mollie’s Suite located on the first floor of the carriage house – the “nature” room – complete with a picket fence/birdhouse bed. Sink into this queen-size feather bed. In addition to the bedroom, this two-room suite features a sitting room with a very comfortable futon couch with a plush mattress which could accommodate two additional travelers. Four people would be very cozy in this suite.

This suite also has its own private bathroom, kitchen and a balcony for viewing the star filled sky at night. Kick back in the recliners in the sitting area of this suite to watch the flat screen TV or read.

Policies and Guest Information
- Rates are based on double occupancy/ $20 charge for each additional guest.
- We ask for a 50% deposit at the time of your reservation.
- Room rates are $89 - $139 plus tax.
- Room rates and policies are subject to change.
- We accept cash, checks/travelers checks (with proper ID), VISA and MASTERCARD.
- Specialty packages and holidays (major and U.S. bank holidays, and Notre Dame Football weekends) are two-day minimum reservation.
- Room rates are subject to 7% Indiana sales tax.
- The McKenzie House Bed & Breakfast is an exclusive property where every guest reservation is both important and special to us. If your travel plans change and you must cancel your reservation, please call us. Cancellations are accepted by telephone only.
- Our cancellation policy is as follows: We will gladly refund your full deposit if your cancellation is made 10 days prior to your scheduled arrival. If your cancellation is made less than 10 days prior to your scheduled arrival, your deposit will be held unless we are able to rebook your room.
- A 30 day cancellation notice is required on whole house reservations or special events.
- Check in time is 4-6 PM. If arriving outside of check-in times, please call to make arrangements.
- Check out time is 11 AM. Late check out time may be requested and will be granted if possible ($25 fee required).
- All rates include a gourmet breakfast and snacks/beverages (Please make us aware of special dietary needs in advance of arrival). All guests are invited to enjoy the complimentary book, music and video/DVD library, and table games. All items must be returned before check out. All guests are welcome to take pleasure in the in-ground swimming pool, hot tub, fire pit and barbeque grill. Hours of recreation will be posted - please observe.
- The McKenzie House Bed & Breakfast is a smoke free property; however designated outdoor smoking areas are available.
- No pets permitted - we will be happy to help you find a local boarding kennel.
- Well behaved children are welcome, in the company of thoughtful parents (pending availability of family style suites).
