    Welcome home...at last. The Old Victorian Farmhouse, located approximately 40 miles northwest of downtown Chicago in the quiet suburb of Wauconda, Illinois, close to Long Grove, Barrington and the Chain of Lakes.

    Our 150 year old historical Victorian farmhouse holds much charm and history, yet offers the luxury of modern amenities to meet your overnight needs. We have wireless access and we offer a comfortable haven for business travelers. On our main level we have a large parlor with a piano. The hand-painted mural on the wall provides a lovely setting for relaxing, reading and conversation. There are a variety of board games on the book shelves for your use. Located only 5 blocks from antique shops and restaurants, the area boasts 10 golf courses within 10 miles, as well as being close to lakes, swimming, fishing, cross country skiing, bike paths, and a car museum.

    Why do most travelers stay at your inn?

    Because WGN Channel 9 picked me as the "Most Romantic Bed and Breakfast in Chicagoland". You can find the video on my home page. Also, we are elegant, restful and peaceful.

    What are you best known for? What makes your inn unique? What do you love most about your inn?

    We are known for our satin sheets, feather beds, Creme Brule French Toast and resident standard poodle Romeo. I also love the decorating. We also host Murder Mystery Dinners and High teas at the inn.

    If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?

    We are located 15 minutes from historic Long Grove.

Allow us to indulge you with a sumptuous full breakfast served by candellight at 8:30 AM on our crystal and china. Begin with freshly brewed coffee or juice, then enjoy one of our famous hot entrees, such as creme brulee frech toast. The featured entree changes daily, so you will awaken to something different each day that will surely entice your palette and leave you full and satisfied to start your day's adventures. Tables are beautifully set with silver and gold in old time elegance.

    Bring Your Group For A Special Experience

    Enjoy a afternoon Victorian High Tea party with your group of 10 to 28 people. Pick a hat to wear and tour the Bed & Breakfast, then get a delightful course in manners and enjoy Victorian games in our formal dining room.
