    Prairie-style brick mansion, built by Hiram S. Cable, President of the Rock Island Railroad, circa 1912. Original country estate used as the summer home for the Cable family. Beautiful view. Central location on the hill in Rock Island, overlooking the Mississippi River Valley across from Long View Park.

    Enjoy the unique experience of an overnight stay in a private home. Special features include a 600 square foot parlor with gold concert harp, grand piano, chandeliers, and large wood-burning fireplace.

    A full breakfast of fruit, rolls, juice, and three entrees is served either in the Dining Room or on the deck, weather permitting.

    Easily accessible from all major routes. From I-280 take Route 92 or Route 67 to 18th Avenue, Rock Island. Turn right onto 18th Avenue. From I-88 proceed on Route 5 to 17th and 24th Street to 18th Avenue. Access to 19th Avenue is from 16th Street only. Call house from button near mailbox.
