Innkeeper(s): Peggy Doughty
  • Introduction

Welcome to the Oxbow Bed and Breakfast. We are conveniently located on 10 private acres, only 1 mile South of Perry County Courthouse on Route 13/127 in Pinckneyville, Illinois.

The home was built in 1929 and converted to a bed and breakfast by the proprietors Peggy, and the late, Dr. Al Doughty in 1985. Our namesake comes from Al’s hobby of upcycling old barn wood materials. One of his most unique creations, the Oxbow bed (featured in select rooms), is a massive bed frame constructed from old barn timbers, that combines it’s design with an Oxbow to create a serene retreat for your stay.

During your stay, relax in your room featuring  an eclectic mix of antique furnishings, private bath, cable television, WIFI, and queen sized bed (except 1 king w/option of 2 twin). Enjoy the warm hospitality and make yourself at home in this peaceful country casual retreat.
