Tuesday nights are traditionally slow so take advantage and combine a Tuesday night stay at least one additional night and receive half off Tuesday night.

Pay cash for your stay in any of Hidden Lake Bed & Breakfast's suites and we'll pass on our savings to you with a $30 credit for a two or more night stay so you can fill up your gas tank on us or just to say thanks for staying at Hidden Lake! ($15 discount for a one night stay. $20 and $10 respectively for a stay in the Victorian Room.)

Okay, so we don't really bring you breakfast in bed but we'll do the next best thing! Just let us know and we'll place breakfast in your suite refrigerator the evening prior so that you can enjoy it whenever you choose ... early, late or something in between! An in-suite microwave allows you to heat your entree while you enjoy your fresh fruit and scrumptious patry! (no additional charge)

Kayak/Canoe Package
Have you always thought you'd like to try your hand at canoeing or kayaking? Well, both are available at Little Grassy Lake. Canoe or kayak for a 1/2 day. We'll take care of packing up a backpack lunch and beach towels for the trip. $85

Rock Climbing Package
Sign up for a rock climbing lesson and find yourself climbing within the hour. Progress at your own pace and enjoy this one of a kind experience at a privately owned cliff, Draper's Bluff, with two of the most experienced climbers in the business. Everything you need is thoughtfully provided from climbing shoes and helmets to a supply of water, energy bars, a backpack lunch and ice cold cloths to cool yourself off. 1/2 day climb $85/person, full day climb $150/person.

Scuba Diving
Yes, that's right, scuba diving in Southernmost Illinois! Mermet Springs, an 8.5 acre spring fed quarry, just 35 minutes from Hidden Lake B&B, offers a terrific clear water diving experience with visibility from 15 feet to over 65 feet and depths in excess of 100 feet. Diving includes exploration of wrecks at various depths, one of which is the 727 passenger jet from the movie "US Marshalls". Try Scuba for as little as $20 or take lessons including certification ... We'll provide towels and a backpack lunch to bring along ($45 in addition to scuba/snorkeling fees).

Horseback Riding Package
There is no better way to experience the Shawnee National Forest than on horseback. Enjoy a 2 hour to full day ride at one of two area outfitters, Honeybee Stables & Lake Glendale Stables, with horses that enjoy the ride as much as you. No nose-to-tail trail ride here. Just a hand full of riders and a guide. 2 hours $70/person; 3 hours $100/person; 4 hours $125, full day $150/per person. Take along a Hidden Lake B&B saddlebag lunch of sandwiches, chips, trail mix, cookies and water ($40) and we'll include ice cold cloths to clean up afterwards and bug spray so you enjoy the ride.

Enjoy a romantic and cozy dinner at one of our two favorite restaurants - each a gourmet delight in an comfortable atmosphere for a truly wonderful celebration! You'll share an appetizer and a dessert while you each enjoy soup or salad, entrée and all non-alcoholic beverages. ($65 per couple: local restaurant with 5 minutes of Hidden Lake; $105 per couple: white table cloth restaurant approximately 30 minutes away)

Tour the Shawnee Wine Trail in style! Relax in a stretch limousine (or a sedan) as you tour the vineyards and wineries along the Shawnee Wine Trail. Visit one or all of the twelve area wineries to enjoy samplings of Southern Illinois wines and perhaps a Hidden Lake picnic! And may we suggest stops at Pomona Natural Bridge, Bald Knob Mountain, and the Skyline Drive scenic overlook... ($45 to $65 per hour, 4 hour minimum)

Wine Trail Picnic
Enjoy a tasty picnic as you tour the Shawnee Wine Trail or as you hike the beautiful nature trails of Southern Illinois. Tailored to your tastes, a basket full of delicious goodies - fresh green salad, cheese, fruit, bread, jumbo shrimp or roasted chicken, beverage and something for your sweet tooth! ($45)

In-Suite Picnic
Our Wine Trail Picnic is now served up for enjoyment in your suite!  A terrific alternative to dinner out after a long drive down or after a long day on the wine trail! ($50)

Backpack Lunch
Planning to go hiking, biking or horseback riding? Take along a Hidden Lake backpack lunch! Roasted chicken or vegetarian sandwiches on a specialty bread with all of the fixings, chips, trail mix, homemade cookies, fresh fruit, granola bars, and bottles of water. ($45)
 

Start with a dozen red roses in a pretty vase to take home, add romantic candles, the ''Celebration Package'', the ''Dinner Package'' and other special Hidden Lake touches for a truly romantic getaway! ($195)

Why not begin your getaway with a relaxing in-suite massage? A licensed massage therapist will set up in your suite and ease away the tensions of everyday life with a wonderful massage, relaxing music, and a sympathetic ear! $65 for a one hour massage or $45 for a half hour massage. Manicures ($25), pedicures ($50) and facials ($60) are also available.

In need of some TLC? Reserve one of our Jacuzzi suites for 3 nights during the week (Sunday through Thursday) and receive a free 1/2 hour massage for you and a friend! We'll include some other special TLC touches (think chocolates and candles as a start) and may we suggest that you add a Wine Welcoming and an Arrival Tray? (Not interested in a massage, ask for a credit of $50 in lieu.)

Arrival Tray
Arriving late or looking for a light supper or snack upon arrival? Request a cheese tray complete with a selection of cheeses, fruit, fresh bread, crackers, antipasta and several chocolate covered strawberries. ($40)

Midnight Snack
We won't be delivering this at midnight but as another alternative for a late arrival or really anytime, try a tasty feast of fruited chicken salad, fresh fruit and dip, chocolate dipped strawberries, cheese, crackers, fresh bread and a dessert to satisfy your sweet tooth. ($50)

A baker's dozen of beautifully ripe strawberries dipped in chocolate from Long Grove Confectioners and a complimentary bottle of champagne chilling in your suite together with a dozen red roses and candles scattered around the your suite begins your honeymoon at Hidden Lake. Then add "Breakfast in Bed" on the first morning of your stay and half hour massages for each of you to rid yourself of the last of the wedding stress. ($160)
