Plymouth Rock Roost B&B is located in the corner of Historic Hancock County. The home is a lovely Queen Ann Victorian which was built in 1905 by Henry Granville Metzger for his wife Julia. It features 3 large bedrooms for guests two of which feature king size beds. My home is filled with antiques as I am an antiques dealer. The kitchen and upstairs bath were completely remodeled in the late 90's. The bath features a jacuzzi and a huge shower. Guests are encouraged to explore my entire home, enjoy my flowers, learn about some of my antiques and enjoy a full breakfast as part of your stay.

Do you know someone who wants to try a Bed & Breakfast but hasn't yet, or, someone who has everything and doesn't need more "stuff" to dust? Give them a Gift Certificate and let them pick the B&B they want.

Does your business need a unique way to reward employees, or recognize an important client? A stay at the Bed & Breakfast of their choice can create a personal memory more lasting than many tangible gifts.

Certificates are available in $25 increments with a minimum purchase of $50 (i.e. $50, $75, $100, etc.) plus a $5 handling fee for each certificate. Redeemable at current and participating member IBBA members. MasterCard, Visa and checks accepted.

1. Ask lots of questions of the innkeeper. . .every inn is different and so are their policies.
2. Confirm that breakfast is included, and what is usually served. If you have special dietary restrictions, please advise the innkeeper in advance.
3. Ask for clarification of their cancellation policy. Many of our inns are small, and rely on advance bookings to keep their rooms full. In the unfortunate event you'd have to cancel, what happens to your deposit?
4. Policies on smoking, pets, and children vary considerably. Be sure to clarify your needs over the phone . . .it will make both you and the innkeeper more comfortable.
5. Some Bed & Breakfasts have shared bath facilities. If the inn you are considering falls into that category, you may want to know how many guests will potentially be using the same restroom.
6. Be sure to obtain a map and/or written directions to the inn. Get their exact street address and take their phone number with you. Maps found on the internet can be helpful, but may not be accurate enough to get you to the doorstep.
