    Why do most travelers stay at your inn?

    Most travelers stay at our inn to explore the Volcano National Park.

    What are you best known for? What makes your inn unique? What do you love most about your inn?

    We are best known for our excellent location (close to the national park), the uniqueness of staying at a boutique (non-cookie cutter) hotel, cleanliness and 3 different lodging options that can match any budget.

    If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?

    If someone has never been to Volcano, the #1 reason to visit is our location. It's an excellent location to explore the island considering it’s in the middle of the 2 main tourist attraction areas and makes for a good home base where the national park is also high on the list of tourist attractions as well. (we are located right down the road).

    What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?

    The cleanliness of our hotel, friendly staff and unique rooms and location.

    What’s the best kept secret about the area?

    Kapoho Tide Pools (about a 45 minute drive) is some of the best snorkeling found on the islands with a healthy protected reef and ecosystem.

    If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area?

    Kapoho Tide Pools for a day / Volcano National Park for a day / Punaluu Black Sands Beach for a day / Explore Kahena Beach in the Puna district.

    Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?

    We have a mature garden at Chalet Kilauea with plants from all over the world including Australia, New Zealand, Africa (and the list goes on.)

    Do you accept pets?

    We don;t accept pets. We suggest Madame's Cathouse in Mt.View or The Bar-King Dog Kennel in Keaau for pet boarding.

    5. We compost all organic waste.
