    This romantic getaway is great for honeymooners, special occasions, a family or those on business in Hawaii.
    Watch the sunrise from your private lanai, listen to the ocean on a quiet night or walk on the beach and watch the moonrise between the islands. This distinctive spot on the Windward side of Oahu is only a 30-minute drive from Waikiki, Honolulu or from the airport.
    Only a short walk to the world famous Lanikai and Kailua Beaches, with pristine turquoise waters and fine white sand. Five minutes away, in the quaint town of Kailua, are some of the top restaurants on the island, antique shops, and rentals for kayaks and windsurfing.

    Don't forget to check out one of the best hikes on the island right behind the B&B. See Molokai or Maui from the top of the hiking ridge. Golf, horseback riding, deep sea fishing, parasailing, skydiving, museums and the famous Pearl Harbor Historic district with the Arizona Memorial, USS Missouri, the Pacific Aviation Museum and much more are all located on the island.

    snorkeling, fishing, whale watching, site seeing, biking, and sunset cruises, just to name a few.

    The B&B is just a short walk to the world famous Lanikai and Kailua Beaches, with pristine turquoise waters and fine white sand.

    A day trip to Honolulu may include the Bishop Museum, a visit to Pearl Harbor Historic sites, the Arizona Memorial, USS Missouri, the Pacific Aviation Museum, a shopping trip to Ala Moana, a walk on Waikiki Beach, or a trip to the Polynesian Cultural Center and the north shore to watch the big surf in the winter.

    Other nearby attractions include The Byodo-In Temple, Kualoa Ranch, a number of Botanical Gardens, Sea Life Park and Hanauma Bay for the greatest snorkeling on the island.

    Within minutes of five golf courses, tennis courts, horseback riding, deep sea fishing, whale watching, and one of the best hikes on the island right behind the B&B. See Molokai or Maui from the top of the hiking ridge. Don't forget to try your hand at scuba diving, kayaking, kite surfing or windsurfing at Kailua Bay Beach and Recreation Park.

  • Driving Directions

    From Honolulu International Airport:

    Take H1 West (for 3.5 miles) to Waianae, Pearl City, and Aiea.
    Take Exit 13B to H-3 & 78 East.
    Stay left to H-3 towards Kaneohe.
    Go 15 miles on H-3.
    Exit At Kaneohe Bay Drive.
    At the stop sign, turn left towards Kailua on Kaneohe Bay Drive.
    Follow Kaneohe Bay Drive for 3.6 miles.
    The name of the road will change, once to Kalaheo, and then to Kawaiola Road.
    When you reach Alala Road at the stop sign, turn left. It is all the way to the end.
    Go to the top of the hill on Alala and you will enter Lanikai. It is indicated by a large cement pillar (on the left by the ocean), which has the word Lanikai on it.
    There the road (one way) changes its name to Aalapapa Dr. Stay on it for 0.9 mile.
    Look for Mokolea Drive.. It is the second street past the community park, which is on your left.
    Turn Right, go to 1369 (10th home) on the right.
    We will have a black mailbox on a "bright" red post.

     

    Directions from Waikiki:

    Take Ala Moana Blvd toward downtown Honolulu. As you enter the beginning of downtown - turn Right on to Alakea Street (it is a one way street going towards the mountains) Stay on it for about 6 stoplights.
    Go Past Vineyard Blvd. You want to be in the left lane - it will curve to the Left.
    Go down the slope and curve right, You are now on the Pali Highway.
    Stay on the Pali (which will change names and is also known as Route 61) until it dead ends into Kalahao.
    You will travel the Pali over the mountain and will go thru the town of Kailua.
    At the dead end which has a stoplight turn Right onto Kalahao. It will change names to Kawaiola Road. Stay on it until you reach Alala Road. When you reach Alala Road at the stop sign, turn left. It is all the way to the end.
    Go to the top of the hill on Alala and you will enter Lanikai. It is indicated by a large cement pillar (on the left by the ocean), which has the word Lanikai on it.

    From your location in downtown Honolulu get onto Alakea Street (it is a one way street going towards the mountain) - Stay on in for about 6 stoplights.
