Maui Tradewinds offers an ideal vacation rental for your Maui vacation or honeymoon, just twenty minutes from the airport along Maui's magnificent north coast, conveniently located mid-way between the deep tropical jungles of Hana and the lively tourist centers of Lahaina and Wailea. Have the best of both worlds -- the ambiance of a resort, with the privacy of a home. Enjoy exquisite panoramic views, only minutes from beaches, shops and restaurants.
You can choose from two lovely accommodations (There is only one of each and no other guests sharing your space or amenities)

When you arrive at Maui Tradewinds you are not simply handed a key and left to find your way. You'll be greeted at the door and welcomed into a world of Aloha! Once you have had an orientation to your accommodations, if privacy is your wish, you could stay the entire time and never see your hosts. However, Bev is there for you if you have any questions or require assistance with directions. She is knowledgeable about Maui -- from its history to its local customs, climate, geography...she can point you toward the most excellent vacation opportunities depending on your interest. Whether you're into beachcombing, snorkeling, hiking, biking, exploring caves, swimming in waterfalls, fine dining, shopping, whale-watching, extreme windsurfing, finding a safe cove where your child can swim -- Bev can be a valuable resource to help you make the most of your stay on Maui.
Maui Tradewinds is secluded on two tropical acres, just minutes from sparkling white sand beaches with surfing and snorkeling. Close-by are charming shops and a world-class restaurant (voted the best fish house in America in USA Today). Other nearby opportunities include hiking, biking, rainforests, waterfalls, a dormant volcano, horseback riding, golf, and whale watching in season. You are minutes from Hookipa -- considered the premiere windsurfing capital of the world. You're perfectly situated for a day trip along the "jungle road" to Hana, with its bamboo forests and cascading waterfalls.Away from the crowds, you can let your journey unfold at your own pace. Luxuriate with a cool drink in the large cliff-edge spa or just relax on your private lanai and let the silken tradewinds cool you from the warm, tropical sun. Watch the sunrise over Haleakala and the sunset over the West Maui Mountains.
From your breakfast table enjoy the panoramic vistas from the Pacific Ocean, across the tropical rain-forests to 10,000-ft. Mt. Haleakala. Be enchanted by the frequent rainbows as they emerge from the mists of Haiku Valley. This is a place to relax in privacy.

Travelers are always looking for memorable and relaxing experiences. Let’s discover more through the words of our innkeepers. Many thanks to David Dantes for sharing his own secrets with BBOnline.com! Why do most travelers stay at your inn? Most of our guests are honeymoon couples. Many of them find us on TripAdvisor, where we are currently ranked the #1 B&B on Maui. We don’t publish that fact on our website, because rankings can change frequently, but we do say that we are highly-recommended.
What are you best known for? What makes your inn unique? What do you love most about your inn? Maui Tradewinds is best known for three features: Beauty inside and outside; privacy; hosts who take a genuine interest in the quality of their guests’ experience and aim to make them feel at home.
If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit? This area is a tropical paradise, removed from the crowded and over-developed “tourist” side of Maui.
What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn? Please judge for yourself at www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g60629-d1566384-Reviews-Maui_Tradewinds-Haiku_Maui_Hawaii.html
What’s the best kept secret about the area? The north shore of Maui is a place of unspoiled natural beauty, away from the high-rise construction, traffic and commercialized environment to the west and south. Hotels are not permitted on the north shore, so visitors enjoy home-based guest accommodations.
If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area? This depends on individual interests. Exploring the volcano crater, a day trip to the remote, jungle village of Hana, hiking in rainforests and swimming in waterfalls, and some time to relax “at home” are popular options..
Is there anything within walking distance of your inn? We are on the slope of the dormant volcano, so the immediate environment is not suitable for walking.
What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area? There are three small towns within fifteen minutes’ drive – each with charming shops and restaurants. The island’s premier 5-star seafood restaurant – Mama’s Fish House – is fifteen minutes from here.
Any good area guides/websites that travelers could reference? Hawaii Visitor’s Bureau: www.gohawaii.com
How many rooms does your inn have? We have one studio and one two-bedroom cottage.
Do you accept pets? Unfortunately, we cannot accept pets. Furthermore, the State of Hawaii has quarantine regulations which would make it difficult to travel with a pet.
