An exquisite tropical retreat ideally suited for couples or a family with small children. You will not see another person unless you intend to, because no other guests share any of the space or amenities of Tradewinds Suite. It is private and exclusively for your enjoyment... Paradise awaits you in your private tropical garden among fragrant and exotic blossoms... And on the jungle road to Hana you may catch a glimmer of rainbow in a waterfall.
Maui Tradewinds invites you to a secluded setting of tropical splendor away from the crowds, yet centrally located for Maui's many diverse recreational activities. You will be inspired by views of lush rain-forests, Mount Haleakala, and the crystal blue ocean. This page highlights some of the Suite's features which can help you get the most enjoyment during your visit.
You can see the island of Molokai from your breakfast table, and the private patio affords views of sunset over the West Maui Mountains. The patio is equipped with a hammock, BBQ and lawn furniture. The full private bath has a shower/tub and a sauna which can be used with dry heat or steam. The laundry room has a large-capacity washer and dryer.
The Suite is equipped with ceiling fans; trade winds also provide ample ventilation. The suite has its own telephone line and a complete entertainment center with color TV (Digital satellite reception), CD, DVD player and Stereo VCR. Dial-up and broadband WiFi internet access, local and long-distance telephone calls to the U.S. and Canada are all complimentary.
Outside your door is your tropical garden with exotic plants and flowers. Tiki torches are lit at dusk, as they were in ancient times. Relax in the Tiki Garden, or enjoy a BBQ when the evening turns cool. Then follow the meandering quartzite stone path to your private ocean-view Jacuzzi.
The garden and spa are for your exclusive use. By day enjoy a truly awesome panoramic vista from the Pacific Ocean, across the rain-forests of Haiku Valley, to the 10,000-foot summit of Mt. Haleakala. At dusk, watch the sunset over the neighboring island of Molokai. After dark, the Tiki Garden is romantic by torch light.

Rates for two persons are $195 - $224 per night, depending on length of stay.
Above rates are subject to 13.42% tax and a one-time cleaning fee of $100 which is subject to 4.17% tax. Additionally, a security deposit may be required.
Nightly rate for each additional person after the first two (including children): $20 per night. Maximum of six people.
Rates included a self-catererd continental breakfast.
StarWind Cottage
Enjoy the ultimate in luxury and romance during your honeymoon or getaway in the StarWind Cottage. Total privacy and tranquility in the surrounding tropical terrain are key to making this a memorable experience on the island of Maui.
This two bedroom cottage features king size beds in both bedrooms, so it is perfect for families or couples travelling together. The air conditioned master bedroom overlooks the garden, ocean and surrounding rainforest. The master bath features a deep shower and tub that can comfortably fit two for a romantic soak. The second bedroom look out to the the garden, rainforest, and Mt. Haleakala volcano.
Both bedrooms also open onto the deck that features a garden patio and a sunken Jacuzzi with a spectacular 180 degree view of the ocean, Haiku Valley and volcano. Feel free to help yourself to the ripe papayas and bananas that grow on the nearby tress. Watch the dazzling sunset, then enjoy an evening barbeque on the deck amid the glow of the Tiki torches. Once the sun goes down, the breathtaking stars of the Milky Way span across the entire night sky.
The cottage also has a fully equipped kitchen. The living room includes digital satellite TV with a DVD playe and a CD player with iPod connectivity. WiFi internet, as well as local and long distance calls to US and Canada are complimentary.

If you are in the U.S. we recommend you use our toll-free telephone number (800) 909-6774. Outside the U.S. you can call (808) 573-0066. One of us will usually answer the phone, but if you get our answering machine, please leave a short message -- we return calls several times daily. You will get the most information by direct communication! If you tell us a little bit about you, your interests and preferences, we will soon find out if Maui Tradewinds is your best choice. You can also E-mail us. We answer E-mail daily. Please include your telephone number so we can be of better service.
Making Reservations:
- On-line booking is available for reservations from five to twelve nights in duration.
- For stays of less than five nights or more than twelve nights, or if you have any questions, or if you prefer personal assistance with your reservation, please contact us directly.
- Please review our Policies before submitting a reservation request.
- To make a reservation by Fax, please download a reservation request form from our website.
- As soon as we receive your reservation we will send you a confirmation, along with a map and directions -- and we'll be here to welcome you when you arrive!
For your safety and comfort, and out of mutual consideration, we request your observance of the following policies:
- Check-in between 3-6 PM, Check-out by 10 AM unless other arrangements are agreed-upon in advance.
- Children are welcome -- please supervise them to assure their safety.
- Please remove shoes before entering.
- Smoking is permitted outdoors only.
- Kindly keep sound level down between 10 PM and 8 AM.
- Alcohol should not be consumed before or during use of sauna or spa. Additional safety guidelines are posted in sauna and spa area. Drug use is prohibited.
- Please do not take glass outdoors -- plastic drinking containers are available.
- When you are going to be away, please lock all doors and sliders. We believe our home is safe and secure, but we cannot be responsible for your valuable property.
- If you wish to shift the frame of the couch to make it into an extra bed (or vice versa) please ask one of us to assist you -- it requires two people and some practice (this applies only to Tradewinds Suite). Please ask for assistance with the sauna or the Tiki torches.
- Our spa maintenance service cleans and chemically balances the outdoor spa once a week to assure that it remains in top condition. We will notify you of the schedule.
