Read MoreFern Room The Fern Room is located on the ground floor of the main house, next to the Peacock Room. It is friendly and comfortable with a King size bed plus a futon bed couch. It has a private bath with soaking tub and shower and a separate entrance, cable television and a small refrigerator. The view is to Koi Ponds, gardens and forest plus it has ocean view. Rates for double or single occupancy: $98 plus tax per night, sleeps up to 3 persons with a minimum stay of 2 nights. Peacock Room This light, comfortable room is located on the ground floor of the main house; it has a Queen size brass bed, plus a futon bed couch inside, private bath (with soaking tub and shower), private entrance, cable television and refrigerator. A view of our koi ponds, gardens and macadamia forest can be seen from the comfort of your bed. Rates for double or single occupancy: $88 plus tax per night, sleeps up to 3 persons with a minimum stay of 2 nights. Crow's Nest The upper unit in our two unit, three story 'Macadamia nut' building. This building was remodeled in 1998 and converted from a macadamia husking building. The Crow's Nest has a large living room, also with a television and refrigerator. It has a private bathroom with soaking tub and shower and a lanai on the main floor. The romantic bedroom is on the top floor with a queen sized bed. Ocean view and view to private gardens are from the living room, bedroom and private deck. The living room has one queen sized bed couch and one futon couch for additional sleeping areas. Rates for double or single occupancy: $109 plus tax per night, sleeps up to 4 persons with a minimum stay of 3 nights. Hale Huna Hale Huna (Hidden House) is a cottage in our two unit 'Macadamia Nut' building. It has a private entrance, an ohia wood lanai, a tropical bedroom with a queen size bed, a cozy living room with a single bed couch, television and refrigerator. The private bath has a double shower. The views are to the gardens. Rates for double or single occupancy: $98 plus tax per night, sleeps up to 3 persons with a minimum stay of 2 nights. Policies
- A charge of $15 a day would be added for a third person.
- Room Tax: 13.38% (Sorry, but the taxes are very high here in Hawaii).
- Cancellation policy: All reservations are secured with a 30% deposit on the full amount, or a charge of two nights stay with less than 5 nights reservation. Cancellation must be received in writing no later than 45 days prior to the scheduled arrival date in order to receive a full deposit refund (minus $50 cancellation fee for each reserved unit). If cancellation is made less than 45 days but more than before 10 days prior to the scheduled arrival date, there will be no refund of your deposit unless that we can re rent this unit (minus $50.00). If cancellation is received less than 10 days before scheduled arrival or you decide to leave early, you will be liable for the entire charge unless that we can re rent this unit.

Rainbow Plantation Bed & Breakfast Inn is located on a seven acre macadamia and coffee plantation on the Big Island of Hawaii. This historical, sacred Hawaiian landsite has been farmed for centuries, It is a natural, secluded, private, tropical hideaway, away from traffic and surrounded by many varieties of tropical plants, flowers and organically grown fruit trees. This wildlife sanctuary is a natural retreat for eco travelers, bird watchers, animal/nature lovers and guests, who seek a true Hawaiian, non-touristy, non toxic environment in which to relax and unwind.Rainbow Plantation is a working coffee and macadamia farm. Between early September and February many rounds of Kona Coffee are harvested. Macadamia nuts drop all year but especially in the Fall.

A tropical, healthy and plentiful continental-plus breakfast is served on our ocean view lanai in the main house. It consists of fresh organically grown fruits, homemade breads, granola and muffins, toast, jellies, free range farm eggs by request, coffee, a variety of teas and fruit juice.Besides coffee and macadamia nuts, we organically grow pineapple, passion fruits, papaya, banana, star fruit, oranges, limes, cashew nuts, lychee, guava, and many more Hawaiian fruits that will be served on your fresh fruit plate according to the season.
On this wildlife and animal sanctuary you will find many varieties of birds, wild pheasants, turkeys, peacocks, unusual chickens, parrots, miniature horses, our plump potbelly pig, "Magnolia" and a wild but friendly pig who showed up on our farm to find shelter from hunters. All of the critters are guarded and protected by "Soleil" our smart and lovable dog from the animal shelter.

Just 35 minutes by car from the Kailua-Kona Airport (17 miles, 27.2 km), 20 minutes south of Kailua-Kona (10.5 miles), Weíre located between highway marker 110 and 111 about 1/4 mile down a private driveway from Mamalahoa Hwy (ocean side) and only a few feet from Napoopoo road which leads to Kealakekua Bay, a marine sanctuary and snorkelerís delight. The top of Napoopoo Road, (just minutes from the farm) also starts a hiking trail to the Captain Cook Monument. This trail can also be traveled by horseback.
