If you haven't figured it out already, Southern Cross Ranch is, at its core, a family-owned and operated horse farm that values its animals. We have been raising quality Paint and Quarter horses for over 25 years. For more than 10 years, we have been welcoming guests to visit and share the indescribable joy of being around these magnificent creatures. Over two dozen foals are born on the ranch from March - June each year. Occasionally, guests may get a unique opportunity to see a mare giving birth. Everyone has virtually unlimited opportunities to touch, photograph, and interact with many of the foals and other horses. One of the most popular comments from guests is that our horses--especially the foals--are exceptionally gentle and docile, making for an unforgettable experience.

If you are a horse lover or are simply curious about horses, you've come to the right place. You'll be able to watch horses grazing from every porch, deck, dining room, and even from the pool area. Our philosophy is simple: it can't be a horse lover's paradise if it's not a horse's paradise first.

Our rooms are divided into 5 categories; 1-5 with 5 being the highest. Each room category is pleasantly appointed featuring a King-sized bed, A/C, TV, DVD, phone and private bath. Premium rooms offer whirlpools, fireplaces, and unmatched views. Rooms are available with a rustic, western theme or one of more traditional Southern décor. Some rooms may have a King and Queen or King and twin bed arrangement.

All guests are able to enjoy complimentary breakfast, unlimited soft drinks, tea, coffee, fresh lemonade, snacks, fruit and fresh baked desserts available 24 hours per day.

Our meals are served buffet style 3 times daily and feature a delicious mix of international cuisine as well as local favorites. Lunch and Supper are included for guests staying on the All-Inclusive (AI) and All-Inclusive Non-Riding Plan (AINR) and may be purchased separately by all others. Serving times are 8am, 1pm, and 6pm. Lunch and supper reservations are required for walk-ins or patrons staying on our B&B plan. Please contact us for reservations. All guests are able to enjoy complimentary breakfast, unlimited soft drinks, tea, coffee, fresh lemonade, snacks, fruit and fresh baked desserts available 24 hours per day.

Our newest amenity is an aqua massage bed. This is a very unique and highly specialized machine. A spray bar traveling shoulder to toe shoots heated, pulsating water from your centerline around to your sides. Rest assured - you remain clothed and dry for your privacy and comfort. Our aqua massages are a perfect way to ease those sore muscles from time spent in the saddle or the trip here. It is reported that 10-15 minutes on the aqua bed is therapeutically equivalent to a 60-minute personal massage. Aqua massages are not included in our packages, but are quite reasonable on an a la carte basis.

Horseback riding in Georgia - it is the featured activity at Southern Cross. If you're a beginner, don't worry - riding lessons are available and horses are personally assigned based on your riding experience and preferences. We'll supply all the equipment you'll need to ride, but you're welcome to bring your own if you choose. The climate in Georgia is great for horseback riding year around. The relaxed riding program even allows guests the unique opportunity to ride on their own if they desire, but small guided groups are always available. You'll be encouraged to groom and help tack the horses for a true hands-on and bonding experience. Whether you want to ride lazily across beautiful open pastures or trot through lush wooded trails, Southern Cross Ranch can accommodate your needs. If you're not into horseback riding and don't wish to start, there are non-riding plans with reduced rates to meet your needs.

Horseback riding is also available to non-guests at 9:15 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. daily on a space-available basis with reservations. If you are looking for horseback riding in Georgia, you've come to the right place.

After your daily horseback riding, you'll find many ways to relax and unwind at Southern Cross Ranch. You can enjoy a dip in the swimming pool or a soak in the hot tub. Seasonal flowers and beautiful landscaping adorn the ranch. Enjoy a good book in the shade next to the pool and water fountain. Guests also enjoy playing pool, darts, or foosball in the game room, riding mountain bikes, throwing horseshoes, shooting basketball, or catching a nap after a meal. The beauty of Southern Cross is that you can make every minute of your stay as active or restful as you may desire.
