Most of our guests tell us their favorite activities are unwinding in the rocking chairs on the porches, or enjoying a refreshing swim in our pool in warmer weather, or curling up with a good book beside the fireplace in the lobby or our cozy Garden House when the temperature is cooler. Some rooms have their own fireplace, and we have plenty of books, games and movies.
If you want activity, there is plenty to see and do in the area such as hiking, boating, rafting, horseback riding, and trout fishing to name a few. We can direct you to lovely scenic drives, historic small villages, fun out of the way places for lunch, and unique art and fine craft galleries for the discriminating shopper.
Our restaurant is open most evenings serving dinner to Inn guests and the public beginning at 6:00 pm. Offering one of the finest dining experiences in North Georgia, the restaurant at Glen-Ella Springs Inn presents award-winning cuisine in a rustic, yet elegant, country atmosphere. Glen-Ella Springs Inn has long been recognized as a north Georgia favorite. Kindly note: we recommend you call ahead for dinner reservations (706-754-7295), as there are times the restaurant may be closed.
We offer on-site catering services for your wedding reception, rehearsal dinner, wedding brunch, weekend retreat, or family gathering. Private dining room available to groups of 35 or less. Please inquire with our manager for menu options. Facility fee or minimum food charges may be applicable.

Our all-inclusive package pricing means there are never any surprises to affect your budget. Our pricing includes accommodations, conference room, ergonomic seating, AV equipment, full breakfast buffet, lunch buffet, 3-course dinner, morning and afternoon snack, and continuous beverage service throughout the meeting day.
Along with the 16 guest rooms here at the Inn, we manage a 6-room villa located just 2.5 miles away in a semi-private golf community for a maximum lodging of 35 individual beds (shared accommodations). The 48' x 60'outdoor pavilion, garden terrace, pool deck, or cozy garden house are also available for breakout sessions or social gatherings. Weekend Retreats, Small Meetings or Wedding Facility Glen-Ella Springs is perfectly suited for retreats in Georgia for groups of all kinds. W 083° 26.944Also, please note that we are located on an unpaved road that is narrow in places, and can be dusty and bumpy in the summer. The road has been here for over 100 years though, and is seldom muddy or treacherous.
From Atlanta - 90 Miles - From I-85 North, take I-985 to Gainesville at Exit 113. This will become GA 365, then US 441. Go past exits to Cornelia, & Clarkesville.
*At the Tom Arrendale Interchange stay straight on US 441 towards Clayton for 7 more miles. (Hwy 365 will go towards Toccoa). At mile marker 18, turn left on T. Smith Rd., go one block then turn right onto Old Historic 441. Take the first left onto Orchard Road and the second paved right onto Bear Gap Road. Follow signs for 1 -1/2 miles to the inn.
From Greenville, SC From I-85 take Exit 173, GA Hwy 17 North towards Toccoa (Appalachian Foothills Highway). Go 12.2 miles and turn left following Hwy 17 for about 12 more miles until it intersects with US 23 & 441. Turn right on US 441 north and follow directions from the * Tom Arrendale Interchange from Atlanta above.
From GA 400 - Follow GA 400 until it ends, then continue straight on Hwy 115 through Cleveland to Clarkesville. There is another right turn after about 5 miles. Stay on Hwy 115 until it comes to a dead end in downtown Clarkesville. Turn left onto Historic Old 441 and follow directions below from Clarkesville. From Greenville, SC - From I-85 take Exit 173, GA Hwy 17 North towards Toccoa (Appalachian Foothills Highway). Go 12.2 miles and turn left following Hwy 17 for about 12 more miles until it intersects with US 23 & 441. Turn right on US 441 north and follow directions after * from Atlanta above.
From Clayton - US 441 south through Tallulah Gorge State Park. Turn right on Old Historic 441- 2 miles south of the Tallulah Gorge Bridge (do not take any earlier turns marked Old 441, they will not work). Go approximately 2 miles and turn right onto The Orchard Road. Go to second paved road on right onto Bear Gap Road. Inn located 1 1/2 miles down Bear Gap Road.
From Clarkesville - take Old Historic 441 North for 8-1/2 miles to Orchard Rd. Turn left and then take the second paved road to the right on Bear Gap Road and follow the signs.
