Nestled among the trees and Spanish Moss, we are an undiscovered jewel, fitting for all and any types of people.

 

12 different rooms to suit needs, accommodations and taste. Our ""Backyard of Love"" has become it's own destination for guests, brunchs, weddings, receptions and rehearsals. Cafe Hibiscus on site. Hibiscus Coffee & Guesthouse has 12 distinctly different accommodations furnished in that Old Florida feel. Just up the street from the sugar white sand beach and within walking distance to local eateries, Hibiscus is the place to BE!

We offer rooms with a variety of amenities. We have rooms which include or have access to a full kitchen, pet friendly and kid friendly rooms, and two of our accommodations are small one bedroom apartments. All of our rooms have WiFi, a coffee pot, microwave, at least a mini-fridge, cable TV, DVD player, an iron and ironing board and a private bath with (unless otherwise noted) a bath tub.

Hibiscus House is home to our cafe and to our four original guestrooms – the Turner, Magnolia and Hibiscus rooms upstairs and the Art Deco room downstairs, which is pet friendly and kid friendly. And just across the courtyard is the Woodpecker Cottage.

Bert’s Barn has 5 guestrooms. Downstairs are The Big Easy, which is designed to accommodate our wheelchair-using patrons, the Funky Bird which is pet friendly and kid friendly and the Old Florida. Upstairs are the Tropical Bird and Romance Rooms, which share a spacious common area that includes a full kitchen. These two rooms are well situated to rent together and we offer a discount for when they are.

Hibiscus Flats – In addition to our office, Hibiscus Flats, is home to Flats Three (which is now pet friendly) and Four. Both are one bedroom units with full kitchens and large flat-screen TVs and they are both kid friendly.

We also have two luxury suites, 1 bedroom apartments. Full living area, Full kitchen, Full bathroom, mini washer/dryer set, Full Private bedroom (king sized bed)

Both of them have private balconies overlooking the quaint beach village of Grayton Beach. (These two units are upstairs)

 

 

The Courtyard

This is the courtyard and around the corner you will find the Backyard of Love, both have several shady spots to sit and relax while taking in the garden or having breakfast.

 

The Café

We are open from 7:30-11:30 a.m. daily. Serving brunch on Sunday's from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m with live music in the Backyard of Love. Our menu includes Waffle Wonderful, Frittatas, and Fresh-Fruit Smoothies. Drop by and join us ... We'd love to see you!

 

If you plan to bring kids when you stay, let us know so that we can get you into one of our “Kid Friendly” rooms. Our Kid Friendly rooms are the Art Deco Room in the Hibiscus House, the Funky Bird Room in Bert’s Barn, and both Flat Three and Flat Four in the Hibiscus Flats. Flats Three and Four both have a sleeper sofa and are on the second floor, making them more suitable for older children. The Art Deco and Funky Bird rooms are downstairs and are recommended for younger children, both for safety’s sake and in consideration of our other guests. They are both large enough to accommodate an air mattress, which we provide for stay.M

Depending on age and whether or not we will be serving them breakfast, there may be an additional $10.00 charge for children who put you over our 2 guest minimum rate.

We love animals and would love it if we could make all our guestrooms pet friendly. Unfortunately, many people are allergic to pet’s and pet dander, so we must limit our pet friendly accommodations. Guestrooms: The Art Deco Room in the the Hibiscus House and the Funky Bird Room in Bert’s Barn can accommodate a clean, non barking pet. We have also made Flat Three pet friendly as well.

We charge a $40.00, non refundable pet fee for pet’s that stay in our guestrooms.

Note: Animal Control Ordinance Sec. 5.107. States that only Walton county residents may take their dogs to the beach during certain hours and they must be permitted. Visitors to the beach can NOT take their pets to the beach and they can NOT get permits. So, as we would like to stay pet friendly we must advise our guest that they cannot lawfully take their dog to the beach.
