The Alling House

Gold Room

This room is called the gold room because it is furnished with antique golden oak furniture. The walls and fabrics are also shades of yellow gold that match the golden oak furniture very well. The bed is an antique queen-sized bed. There is a matching armoire with a small mirror, an area to hang clothes and several drawers. The room is rounded out with a drop-down desk and two upholstered chairs. The bathroom has a large shower and the sink is in an antique cabinet that was previously a golden oak dresser. The room is located at the top of the stairs and to the front of the house and provides a nice view of the front yard.

Green Room

This room is called the green room because of the dark green walls and the dark wood of the furniture. The bed is an antique dark mahogany queen-sized bed. A matching antique armoire is available for hanging and storing clothes. The room also contains a small sitting area with a table and two parlor chairs. The bathroom has a shower and the sink is in a cabinet that was formerly an antique dresser. The cabinet matches the rest of the furniture in the room. This room is at the end of the hall and is located on the west side of the house.

Rose Room

This room is called the rose room because of the roses in the wallpaper that cover the walls and the bathroom. A luxurious king-sized, carved Indonesian mahogany bed is the focus of this room. There is also a matching vanity and a red mahogany armoire. A roomy sitting area is equipped with a table and two arm chairs. This room is the largest and is connected to a very large bathroom equipped with a shower and whirlpool tub. The views from this room are spectacular, giving a nice look at the open area to the east and the ability to see the buildings and the forest area behind the house.

The Homestead Cottage

The cottage was originally a carriage house and was open in the back so that a wagon could be pulled through for loading and unloading. It has a kitchen, equipped with stove, microwave and refrigerator. Cooking and serving utensils can be found in the cabinets. A stackable washer and dryer are available for washing clothes and a small table and chairs for eating meals. This building contains a queen-sized bed, large matching chest and a closet. There is a spiral staircase that leads up to a loft area that contains twin beds. The bathroom has a shower. Cable TV with DVD and VHS players provided. Note about breakfast: The refrigerator is stocked with milk, orange juice, bottled water, coffee and a variety of cereals to provide a continental breakfast. Breakfast in the main house can be arranged for $5 per person.

The Victorian Cottage

This cottage is new decorated in a Victorian theme. It has a full kitchen equipped with a stove, microwave and refrigerator. Cooking and serving utensils can be found in the cabinets. A stackable washer and dryer are available for washing clothes and a small table with chairs for eating meals. This building contains a king-sized bed, queen hide-a-bed couch, 2-person jet tub, electric fireplace, Internet PC and cable TV with VHS and DVD players. The bathroom has a nice sized shower. The front porch with swing emulates one of our guests' favorite spots from the main house. A full breakfast in the main house is available at $5.00 per person. Note about breakfast: The refrigerator is stocked with milk, orange juice, bottled water, coffee and a variety of cereals to provide a continental breakfast. Breakfast in the main house can be arranged for $5 per person.

The Frontier Cottage

This cottage is decorated in a frontier theme from the old west, as if John Wayne or the boys from Bonanza might walk in any moment. It has a full kitchen equipped with a stove, microwave and refrigerator. Cooking and serving utensils can be found in the cabinets. A stackable washer and dryer are available for washing clothes and a small table with chairs for eating meals. This building contains a king-sized bed, queen hide-a-bed couch, 2-person jet tub, electric fireplace, Internet PC and cable TV with VHS and DVD players. The bathroom has a nice sized shower. This cottage is decorated in a way that takes its occupants back to nature in a way that encourages them to appreciate God's creation. It has a full kitchen with a stove, microwave and refrigerator. This building has two bedroom areas and contains a king-sized bed in the great room, bunk beds with trundle in the second bedroom, full sized hide-a-bed couch, Internet PC and cable TV with VCR and DVD. The Railroad Cottage

This cottage is decorated in a way that carries its guests back to the days when our nation's railroad industry was in its heyday. It has a full kitchen with a stove, microwave and refrigerator. Cooking and serving utensils can be found in the cabinets. A stackable washer and dryer is available for washing clothes and a breakfast nook for eating meals. This building has two bedroom areas and contains two antique twin beds in the great room, queen-sized bed in the second bedroom, full sized hide-a-bed couch, Internet PC and cable TV with VCR and DVD. The bathroom has a nice sized shower. Note about breakfast: The refrigerator is stocked with milk, orange juice, bottled water, coffee and a variety of cereals to provide a continental breakfast.
