The Night Swan is a New Smyrna Beach, Florida, bed and breakfast epitomizing old Florida ambiance. Located on the Intracoastal Waterway and nestled amid a canopy of Live Oaks, Magnolia Trees, and Palms, the Night Swan is a destination all its own.

    Built in 1906, this turn-of-the-century home provides New Smyrna Beach, FL lodging featuring romantic, antique-filled interiors and sweeping sunny porches ideal for relaxing with a book or tall drink. All guest rooms offer private bathrooms and personal touches. Many gracious suites feature views of the river. Innkeepers Martha and Chuck Nighswonger greet their guests in the morning with a choice of breakfast.

    Enjoy a full breakfast, complete with steaming hot coffee and freshly baked breads, served upon china and antique silver in the dining room, or have a continental breakfast delivered to your room, porch, or the dock. Delicious low-cholesterol hot entrees are a house specialty. The Night Swan's 2-story dock, which extends 160-feet into the majestic Indian River, is perfect for boat, bird and dolphin watching, sunbathing, or just daydreaming.

    Why do most travelers stay at your inn?

    Our location on the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway with a 160-ft 2-story dock. Sit on the dock, bring a boat, or rent a boat and spend some time on the water.

    What are you best known for? What makes your inn unique? What do you love most about your inn?

    The Night Swan Intracoastal B&B has 4 buildings on the property, 3 for guests, and 1 for the owners, so it's not like you are coming to our home. Guests have their own space, many with private, outside entrances. Great food, including breakfast, home-made desserts, and other meals by request.

    If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?

    The Canaveral National Seashore

    What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?

    It reminds them of their grandmother's house.

    The wonderful art and history of the area

    If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area?

    Definitely spend time on the Intracoastal Waterway, by boat, kayak, paddle board, or sit on the dock. Enjoy the ocean at the Canaveral National Seashore, Smyrna Dunes Park, or anywhere along the 18 miles of public beach. Find the Art at The Hub, the Clay Gallery, Arts on Douglas, the Harris House, or the Atlantic Center for the Arts. Investigate our unique History by starting at the History Museum and walk from there.

    Located between Daytona Beach and Kennedy Space Center on the east coast of Central Florida, you may experience a sunset river cruise by sailboat, deep sea fishing, river fishing, or fly fishing. Enjoy the sandy beaches, or the National Seashore, play golf, and take advantage of some wonderful antique shops, art galleries, and restaurants. Day trips to Disney World, and beautiful State Parks, such as Blue Spring and DeLeon Springs, are all within easy driving distance.
     
    The Night Swan has 15 guest rooms, all with queen or king beds, all with TV and telephone, air 
    conditioning, and private baths, many with an oversize whirlpool (Jacuzzi) tub and shower. We also have a private Meeting Room and feature complimentary wireless Internet throughout the property.
     
    A perfect location for weddings and other catered functions, overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway. Enjoy a vacation for the senses and the soul. Experience Florida the way it used to be, and let the real world slip away as easily as the sailboats that glide through the river nearby.

    The Mainsail Suite is the first floor of the cottage with double french doors overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway. There is a king bed in a large room, a kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker on a counter with a little sink. The large bathroom has a double-headed shower with no step-over.
