As for the history of our house, we will let her speak for herself.
Welcome, I am a real Florida Cracker, let me tell you my story. I have known many people and endured the changes of time. I remember the railroad men of the 1920's, rambling gambling men, who frequented the casinos at Coronado beach, and also the hurricane of 26' that took the gaming house into the sea.
I will never forget the blackout nights of WWII, when I would sit in the silent darkness, hiding from the enemy ships that were off our coast. There were happier times, a wedding was held here in my living room. Now my new owners have given this old girl a face lift. I am renewed, artfully decorated and anxious to provide a warm and fun filled atmosphere for all who visit.
Experience leisure at its finest by swimming and beachcombing at New Smyrna Beach. Peaceful, clean and easily accessible, the thirteen-mile beach is a favorite of locals and visitors alike. Come aboard a river cruise to take in the Indian River scenery while relaxing on deck.
For the more adventurous, surfing is the main attraction of New Smyrna Beach. We offer one of the best surfing spots in North America. Rock ledges a few miles offshore cause wave breaks perfect for surfing and prevent dangerous undertows. Beginners and experts consider our beach their first choice for catching waves. And the American Professional Surfing Association hosts a competition in New Smyrna each year.
Choose from water sports of all varieties. Jet ski, sailboats, sea kayaks, catamaran, windsurf boards, and ski boats are available for rental. Let professional guides share their expertise in deep sea fishing, saltwater fly fishing or guide you on the Indian River where you will enjoy some of the largest inshore game fish in the world, including redfish, spotted sea trout, tarpon and black drum. Fishing gear also is available for rent.
