Originally the McKenzie Home’s attic, this glorious room boasts cathedral ceilings, a wonderful turret-room with a custom made window seat to help you enjoy the view.
All of the turret-room’s windows are beautifully crafted stained glass, designed by McIntyre Glass Works.

Reservation Information & Policies
- Room rates range from $109 for a single/double room to $240. Prices include full breakfast and a complimentary wine and cheese hour. To better get acquainted with the Sweetwater Branch Inn, please view our rooms and cottages whose unique character, ambience, and amenities set them apart.
- The Sweetwater Branch Inn accepts checks, cash, American Express®, MasterCard®, Visa®, and Discover® cards.
- Prices do not include sales tax or county lodging tax. Reservations are strongly recommended.
- All of our rooms are based on double occupancy. Each additional guest will be a $25.00 charge (For children under 12 years of age, $10.00).
- Deposit and Cancellations: Upon confirmation of your reservation, the credit card provided will be charged a nonrefundable $100 deposit. Sunday-Thursday reservations require 3 days notice for cancellation, in order to avoid being charged the remaining amount. Fridays & Saturdays require 7 days notice. Special event weekends such as University of Florida home football games & University of Florida graduation require a 30 day cancellation. If you cancel after the cancellation requirement, you will be responsible for the full cost of the reservation. Special event weekends also require a two night minimum of Friday and Saturday.
- Smoking: There is no smoking permitted inside any of Sweetwater Branch Inn's properties. We ask that smokers enjoy their tobacco outside on the veranda, the upstairs porch, or in the garden. Smoking guests are requested to respect non-smoking guests. There will be a $100.00 fee for anyone who smokes in the room.
- Damages: Guests are responsible for damages, replacements, and additional cleaning costs due to accidents or abuse to our property. These charges will be billed to your card on file, held under the responsibility of the person who made the reservation. If linens are stained with wine, coffee, blood, etc. we reserve the right to charge a $75.00 fee to cover a portion of the replacement cost.
- Noise: After 10:30, we ask that the noise level be contained to a minimum (providing you have not booked our five “noise rooms”). Our inn is accommodating a wide variety of guests and we want to provide a hospitable environment to suit everyone’s needs. Please note that we reserve the right to charge a fee to those not in compliance, particularly if we are forced to refund guests who suffered through a noisy night.
- Check-In and Check-Out: Check in is 3:00 p.m. and check out is 11:00 a.m. If you will be checking in after 8:30, please call our office for late check in instructions (352-373-6760). There will be a $35.00 charge for late check outs. Early check-ins must be prearranged with one of our office staff.
- Items Left Behind: We encourage our guests to double check that they have packed all of their belongings. If something is left behind and needs to be mailed back, a charge will be applied to your card on file to compensate for postage and packing. If you are coming to town in the near future, we can happily arrange to hold the item for you until a specified date.
- Children Under the Age of 6: It is our best hope to be a family friendly inn. We welcome your children but ask that they are consistently supervised to keep noise and activity to a minimum so as to avoid disturbing our guests. Please accept advance notice that our homes are filled with antique furniture and accessories. Our grounds have beautiful but potentially harmful features such as fountains, a pond and access to main roadways. Any damage, complaints or disruptive actions from children will be the full responsibility of the parent. Seating is family style and may not be appropriate for some toddlers and infants. Children over the age of 4 are more easily managed in the dining room area. Thank You for your understanding.
