Our Father’s Haven is located in Bushnell, Florida, near Withlacoochee State Forest, Withlacoochee river, and the Sumter Equestrian Center.
The inn sits on 20 magnificent acres, a perfect place for relaxation, reflection and rejuvenation.
We designed our guest suites specifically for privacy and for retreat in a loving Christian atmosphere. Each suite has a sitting room, sleeper sofa, private bathroom, and separate bedroom, with varying bed sizes, king to full. Every suite has views of the Withlacoochee State Forest.
All buildings and suites are non-smoking.
Each morning in the dining room, a hot country breakfast is served for our guests. Starting at 7:00am, fresh brewed coffee will be available. Yogurt, granola, blueberry buttermilk pancakes, bacon and eggs are amonst the homemade items served for breakfast. Special dietary needs and preferences are catered to as well.
Our Father's Haven can be a great venue for retreats, such as:

Most people stay here to get away from their busy lives, have some down time and recharge. Many bring their horses to ride the trails in the Withlacoochee State Forest.

We were given a mission to build a place of "Rest, Reflection and Regeneration," where guests would come to reconnect and be refreshed.

If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?
The #1 reason to come to Bushnell is to visit the magnificent Withlacoochee State Forest, named, "One of the ten coolest places in North America" and the Withlacoochee River. The forest offers miles of hiking, off road biking, horse trails, wildlife observation, and an ATV area. The Withlacoochee River offers fishing, canoeing and kayaking.
What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?
One couple called their teenage children telling them, "Sell the house and use the money for college. We decided we are staying here and we are not coming home."

The slow paced, country atmosphere that is available just an hour from Tampa and Orlando

Enjoy the Withlacoochee State Forest activities.
Bicycle or hike the "Withlacoochee Trail", a 46 mile paved bicycle and hiking path.
Swim with the manatees in Homosassa Springs. Hike the Florida State Trail.
Schedule a guided horse trail ride at a nearby ranch.
Kayak or canoe the Withlacoochee River.
On Mondays, visit the famous Webster Flea market.
Visit the Florida National Veteran's Cemetery.
Read a good book while rocking in hand-made cypress rocking chair on our screened porch.
Sit around the evening camp fire sharing stories with other guests.

Our property is directly adjacent to the Withlacoochee State Forest.
What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area?
The Cotillion Southern Cafe, 35 minutes away, has absolutely fresh southern cooking. Leave room for desert as they bake amazing cakes and pies.

How many rooms does your inn have?
We have four six hundred square foot guest suites with private entrances.
Do you accept pets?
Despite our love of animals, in respect of our current and future guests, we do not allow pets.
Our equestrian facilities provide secure pasture and twelve stalls available for guests' horses with miles of secluded riding trails in the Withlacoochee State Forest. Miles of well marked horse trails are directly accessible from our site or guided trail rides are available at a nearby facility.
Facilities for our horse-loving guests include space for horse trailer parking, eight 12' x 12' covered, well ventilated stalls. In addition, there is ample Bahia grass pastures enclosed by horse fence with top rail, a round pen and a covered wash rack. Please call regarding stallion requirements.
- Bring your own horse $20/ night for partial board (12' x 12' stall) includes turnout in one of our four large pastures. There is one pasture for each guest suite.
- Turnout only - $10.00 per night.
- Negative Coggins Required.
- Guests are requested to provide feed and hay for their horses.
- Guests are responsible for care, clean-up and actions of their animals.
The Withlacoochee State Forest offers activities such as canoeing, kayaking, fishing, hunting, biking, hiking (Florida State Trail), picnicking, wildlife observation and bird watching.
Complimentary bicycles (and helmets) available for a ride on the nearby "rails for trails" bike path.
Complimentary canoe with required safety equipment is available for a quiet paddle on the Withlacoochee River or Silver Lake. Complimentary transport to and from boat ramp available.
