Guests may wander down Centre Street to browse the quaint shops and art galleries or immerse themselves in the town's history on a trip to the Amelia Island Museum of History or Fort Clinch, a pre-Civil War fort.
Enjoy a romantic carriage ride past Victorian homes, stroll Amelia Island's beautiful beaches or choose from among the many available golf courses. Tennis, biking, fishing, kayaking and sailing are also all at your fingertips. In the evening enjoy fine dining at the Island's many outstanding restaurants.

Each of the villa's nine guest rooms is uniquely appointed with antiques, oriental rugs and period pieces to create a special sanctuary for every guest. Rooms are furnished with four-poster or canopied king or queen beds. Every room offers visitors a private bathroom with a choice of a whirlpool, claw-foot tub or shower. Cable television and telephones are also provided in each room. Select your favorite decor from one of the rooms in the villa or enjoy the genteel country charm of the cottages. Guests may savor their gourmet breakfast, a hot entrée served with seasonal fruits, delectable breads, juices, coffee and assorted teas, in the formal dining room or on the side porch overlooking the gardens and swimming pool. In the evening guests may also enjoy the complimentary beverages and appetizers served at social hour.

If travelling by automobile, use Exit 373 (Old Exit 129) from Interstate 95 and follow the signs for Fernandina Beach along Highway A1A, 200 East. After the bridge go 3.3 mile to Cedar Street. Turn left onto Cedar Street. Go one block and turn right onto 7th Street. Fairbanks House is located at 227 South Seventh Street.
