  • Insider's Info

Travelers are always looking for memorable and relaxing experiences. Let’s discover more through the words of our innkeepers. Many thanks to Steven Lucas for sharing his own secrets with BBOnline.com!
Why do most travelers stay at your inn?

We enjoy the company of two different types of guests. It's an even split between business travelers and vacationers.

What are you best known for? What makes your inn unique? What do you love most about your inn?

People remember us for our reasonable rates and full family style breakfast. We love our home, we personally restored it and it shows.

If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?

Travelers who have never been to Washington D.C. should be sure to visit the Smithsonian Museums and numoerous historical monuments the city has to offer.

What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?

We receive many compliments, but guests seem to really enjoy the architecture and décor of the house most.

What’s the best kept secret about the area?

People who have never traveled to D.C. are surprised by just how much history is located throughout the city.

If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area?

For travelers staying more than just a weekend we suggest they take in the sights and visit some of the 15 Smithsonian Museums, 15+ monuments/memorials, and 13+ private museums.

Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?

Visitors can walk to the White House, the Washington Convention Center and several museums.

What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area?

Washington has more restaurants per capita than any other city in the US. All types of food are available, mostly from local, independent (not chain) restaurants.

Any good area guides/websites that travelers could reference?

    washingtonpost.com

How many rooms does your inn have?

We have 6 rooms plus a furnished apartment.
