A Capitol Place Guest Apartment can also be rented on a longer term basis, when available and at a monthly rate. Our Main House directly above the apartment which is also fully equipped, with two separate bedroom suites, library, and rooms of antiques and collections, can also be rented when it is available. If you are interested in an unhosted long term rental of either the Main House or the B and B private apartment, ask us for our long term policy, pricing and pictures. The apartment's private French door entrance leads into a sunny bay-fronted living room with dining room area. The apartment has a desk, a private telephone line with answering machine, free long distance national calls, an answering machine and secure wireless internet. There is a flat screen HDTV, a DVD, and radios. The rooms are individually heated and air conditioned for year round personal comfort. For moments of relaxation after a busy day of business or tourist activities, there is a library of over ten shelves of books and magazines. The apartment's sitting room, with its Belgian library bed and antique furniture, is a quiet place to rest and relax; yet it accommodates two twin beds. The apartment's master bedroom has a queen-size bed. There is a full linen closet with an abundance of sheets, towels, pillows, and blankets, and the bathroom is modern with a tub and a shower.

The apartment's kitchen is fully equipped with china, crystal, cutlery, pots and pans, toaster, and electric coffee maker. It has a full size refrigerator with icemaker, stove, dishwasher and microwave. The refrigerator and pantry shelves are stocked with condiments, spices, coffee, tea, and all paper products are provided. A Capitol Place Bed and Breakfast Apartment easily accommodates a single, a double, or a family of four. It can also accommodate two couples traveling together. Equipped as it is, the apartment is well suited for touring guests as well as business guests.
Reservation and Cancellation Policies - The rates are $175 for a single occupancy, $200 for a double occupancy, $225 for a party of three, and $250 for a party of four.
- All the rates are subject to the applicable DC Hotel Sales Tax (currently 14.5%).
- There is a minimum stay requirement of four nights.
- The rates and our minimum stay requirements are subject to change during holidays and special events in Washington DC.
- A deposit of $100 by check or money order payable to Mary and Jim Pellettieri is required to secure a reservation, with the balance due upon arrival.
- The deposit is not refundable if the reservation is canceled, however it can be applied to a future reservation with us, if that reservation is made within 6 months of time of cancellation. We do not accept credit cards.
- The long term rental rates for the Bed and Breakfast apartment , when available, are as follows: During January, February, November and December: $2600 single occupancy, $2800 double occupancy, $3200 triple occupancy. During March, April, May, June, July, August, September, and October: $2800 single occupancy, $3200 double occupancy, $3800 triple occupancy. There are no other costs, such as hotel taxes, as the rental is a monthly rental.
- The long term rental rates for the Main House, when available, are an additional $500.00 a month added to the apartment's monthly rental rates.
- With long term rental rates, a security deposit of $500.00 by check or money order payable to Mary and Jim Pellettieri is required to secure a reservation, we the balance due upon arrival. The deposit is not refundable if the reservation is canceled, however it can be applied to a future reservation with us, if that reservation is made within 6 months of time of cancellation. We do not accept credit cards. " Check in time is from 2 to 10 PM and check out time is no later than 11 AM. If necessary and with prior arrangements, alternate times might be able to be accommodated.
- Parking is available, free of charge. If interested, please inquire at time of reservation. However, our location in the center of Washington DC and our proximity to excellent metro transportation (Eastern Market metro stop) precludes the necessity of an automobile.
- A Capitol Place is a non-smoking apartment and pets are not allowed.
