Angel's Watch Inn Bed and Breakfast

Angel's Watch Inn Bed and Breakfast is a stately Federal built by Horace Kelsey for his family homestead in about 1880. The property on which the Inn stands is rich with history. In 1737 Robert Bates deeded the property to Ephram Kelsey and it remained in the Kelsey Family for over 150 years. It was part of a 51 acre parcel which extended from the Patchogue River to Long Island Sound. It was owned then by ship builders and sea captains.

By the Connecticut Shoreline, we are just a stone's throw from the Westbrook Town Green, West Beach and the Marina District and within a short drive of fine restaurants, marinas, golf courses, beaches, art galleries, specialty shops, antique shops, movie theaters.

Within close proximity of many beautiful shoreline New England towns, we are convenient to many local attractions, such as the Griswold Inn, Goodspeed Opera House, Gillette's Castle, New England Steamboat and Essex Valley Railroad, Saybrook Point Inn, Waters Edge, Camelot Cruises, and Murder Mystery Cruises.

Upon entering the Inn you are surrounded by comfortable elegance. There are numerous antiques and the home's decor has the charm and tranquility of yesteryear, with the added comfort and convenience of today. Five newly renovated guest rooms with private baths have been beautifully furnished and decorated for your pleasure and comfort. All rooms have fireplaces. Four Rooms have two-person pedestal soaking tubs.

All rooms have his and her bathrobes, air conditioning, TV, DVD players, CD players,and a a small refrigerator stocked with a choice of complimentary, beer and wine. There is always bottled water and soda. There is also a snack basket and fresh fruit is in our kitchen. Access to house phones and Fax.

A full gourmet breakfast is served on Saturday, Sunday and holidays that fall on Mondays. Breakfast Monday through Friday consists of delicious baked goods such as muffins, scones, fruit breads, cereal, yogurt, juices, coffee and tea. Upon arrival, we welcome you to indulge in a baked treat waiting for you in your room. If you desire, complimentary beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages, soft drinks and bottled water, are available in your room in a mini refrigerator. There is also a snack basket. Fresh fruit, juices, coffee and tea are available in our kitchen.

We take pride in the fact that Angels’ Watch Inn has built a reputation as a warm, inviting, comfortable, and quality Bed and Breakfast with fine impeccable standards. These impeccable standards at Angels’ Watch Inn will never waiver. We strive to constantly improve so our guests can have the ultimate experience. If you wish to participate and it is certainly not required and will only enhance your stay with us. They specialize in massage therapy, yoga, meditation, Reiki, Spiritual Massage, Reflexology, Kahi, intuitive readings, astrology and natal charts, palm and card readings, angels, spiritual guidance, healing, kayaking, canoeing and spa services. Due to the immense demand for these wellness services. Seven days notice for scheduling prior to your arrival is requested, but we will most certainly try to accommodate last minute requests. We now offer high speed wireless internet acess for guests laptops.

The grounds are very tranquil and peaceful. Park benches are placed in the front of the home where you may sit and watch the world go by. A private park like yard is in the back of the house. Wicker baskets, grills, and picnic tables are available for guests use.

We are just one and one half block from West Beach on Long Island Sound. You are assured complete privacy because owners quarters are detached from Inn. Each room has a wicker basket filled with beach blankets, towels and beach passes.

The Barry-Millspaugh family bought the homestead in 1986 and made it into a Bed and Breakfast. In 1994, major restorations began to restore the home to her original beauty.

We have created a wedding package for those of you who do not want to deal with the extreme stress and expense of a large wedding, but still want the magic, memories, tradition and blessings of your own small, intimate, private and special wedding day. The packages are for all couples wishing to marry regardless of race and religion.

The ceremony can be performed in our beautiful park like yard under our gazebo or arbor, at sunset on the beach with spectacular views of Long Island Sound or in our quaint and pretty living room in front of our beautiful fireplace. Anywhere that you would like.

We offer two wedding packages. Designed for just the two of you, and up to twenty additional guests if you choose.

The Deluxe Package includes the following:

• We provide our Justice of the Peace. She is wonderful. She lets you do just what you would like to do. Her ceremony is warm, personal and special. If you would like to recite your own vows or passages you can. You can also provide your own Justice of the Peace.
• Flowers for the wedding couple
• A live video of the ceremony and various poses at the Inn put onto a DVD.
• Digital photos of ceremony and reception at the Inn put on a CD
• Champagne toast (or other beverage) with keepsake flutes
• A wedding cake for two and a just married flag for your vehicle.
• Two evenings stay in one of our beautiful rooms featuring a two person pedestal soaking tub and all of our usual amenities.
• Each person gets a choice of beer, red or white wine. Soda and bottled water are always stocked in the mini-refrigerator in your room.
• $695 entire package room use tax included.
• Ceremonies are an additional $125 if performed on Fridays and Saturdays.
