Introduction
Read MoreThe Fitch House LLC, is a bed and breakfast inn located in the rolling hills of northeastern Connecticut. This part of Connecticut, known as "The Quiet Corner", offers a more leisurely alternative to the rest of the state. To stay a night at The Fitch House is to step back into a more gracious time, but with the most modern and elegant of amenities. Proximity to the University of Connecticut and Eastern Connecticut State University (about 3-4 miles for each) brings to guests many activities including, but not limited to, the following: museums, concerts, summer theater, UCONN ice cream and UCONN basketball! Aside from the attractions of the two universities, "The Quiet Corner" has much to offer those in search of a change of pace.

The Adams Room
Guest Rooms/Rates Golding Room - $145
Edmund Golding, the second owner of The Fitch House, would have appreciated the room given his name. The room features a Queen canopy bed, working fireplace and Currier & Ives prints on the wall; and it would be comparable to the décor of the room when he, a wealthy silk manufacturer, lived there. 20th century improvements include TV, A/C, a dressing room, a large private bath with shower and three closets!Fitch Room - $125
The architect, Edwin Fitch, and his wife lived in this room from 1836 to 1848. The room, now with Queen fourposter bed, TV, A/C, and private bath with shower, is one of the sunniest rooms in the B and B. It overlooks the garden and is decorated with Winslow Homer prints.Adams Room - $125
The Adams Room is named after Edwin Fitch’s wife, Alice Adams, who was the inspiration for the building of the house in 1836. The room contains a lovely double fourposter as well as one twin bed, TV and private bath with shower.
