The Denison Room named for the original owner, is situated on the east side of the house and overlooks the barn and back gardens. This lovely large room has a fireplace and spacious private bath equipped with a jetted clawfoot tub for your enjoyment. The queen-sized four poster bed, writing desk, dresser, arm chairs and roomy “his and hers†closets make this room an ideal choice for any visit. Rates: $149 ~ $199/night plus tax.
Noyes Room
The Noyes Room is named for the family who became the third owners of the house in the late 18th Century and continued to own it until 1936. This beautiful front room overlooks gardens and our barn. A private bath with tub/shower combination is immediately adjacent. The Noyes Room can be made up with either a king-sized bed or two twin beds depending on your preference. A rocking chair, a writing desk/dresser and a large closet complete the furnishings. Guests are permitted to have their pet (limit of one!) accompany them in this room (by advance arrangement, and subject to a $25 fee.) Rates: $129 ~ $169/night plus tax.
Russell Suite
The Russell Suite was used as a dance hall when Colonel Russell ran his Tavern here in the 18th Century. This two room suite faces west with a view of the Road Meeting House and the setting sun. Furnishings include a queen-sized four poster bed, writing desk, dresser and large closet, and a day bed that can accommodate a child. The Russell Suite has a fireplace and a private bath with jetted clawfoot tub. Rates: $149 ~ $199/night plus tax.
Breakfast: Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and rolls are available every day beginning at 7:00 a.m. A Five Course Breakfast is served in the dining room at 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. Monday through Saturday. On Sundays, breakfast is served at 8:30 a.m. or guests wishing to sleep late may partake of a full buffet set out when the innkeepers leave for church.
Check-in Time: 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. or by arrangement. Check-out Time: 11:00 a.m. Monday through Saturday, 1:00 p.m. on Sunday Early Arrivals: Because of work and school schedules we regret that we are unable to accommodate early arrivals. Should you find yourself in the are before 4:00 consider visiting the shops, restaurants and lighthouse of Stonington Borough. It's just a 4 minute drive from the inn; North Main Street is 1/4 miles west of the us, just head south on it and follow the signs.
Deposit: a deposit equal to one night stay or 50% of the total for visits of more than 3 nights and for packages is needed to confirm your reservation. Deposit may be charged to the credit card of your choice or, if time permits, you may send a check.
Minimum Stays: Two nights on weekends April 1 through October 31; a three night minimum stay is required for most holiday weekends. Note: We do not accept advance bookings for SINGLE Saturday nights except during the winter. Last minute bookings may be available in some rooms or a single Saturday night might be available "sandwiched" between other bookings.
Payment Types: we accept Visa/Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Cash, travelers’ checks and personal checks are also welcome.
Cancellation Policy: Because of our intimate size, cancellations affect us significantly. Therefore we uphold a strict cancellation policy:
Reservation changes (date or room): $25
Cancellation more than 7 days in advance of arrival: $50/room Cancellation from 7 to 2 days prior to arrival: 50% of total charge unless we're able to fully rebook your reservation Cancellation 1 day prior or less: 100% of total charge
Cancellation can be made by telephone only! Email cancellations will not be accepted. We will give you a cancellation number for your records -- until you have that number, your reservation is still active. If circumstances require you to cancel, you may wish to ask a friend or family member to take over your reservation. Travel insurance is available through Travel Guard International, www.travelguard.com.
Children: kids over 8 years old are welcome. One child can be accommodated in the Russell Suite in addition to the usual two adults or children may stay in their own room if they are old enough to do so. There is an extra charge for a child in the Russell Suite ($40-$75/day depending on age and length of stay).
Pets: one well behaved, well trained pet may stay with its humans in the Noyes Room. ($25 charge.) You are responsible for cleaning up after your pet and for any damage caused. For the health of both you and your pet, your pet should be treated with Advantix, Frontline or similar pest repellent as deer ticks carrying Lyme Disease are common in southeastern Connecticut. REMEMBER: you are choosing to vacation WITH your pet, not bringing him/her along to avoid kennel or petsitter fees. Your pet may not be left alone in the room at any time unless it is happily crated; there are several restaurants in the area with outdoor seating that allow pets.
Smoking: smoking is allowed on the covered porch and on the grounds. No smoking is allowed inside the inn and a $400 cleaning fee will be charged to any guest who violates the smoking policy. We also do not allow the use of candles or incense for the comfort and safety of all of our guests.
Room Tax: 12% room tax applies to all room charges.
We pay a 10% commission to travel agents.
