The Scranton Seahorse Inn is located in Madison, Connecticut. This Connecticut inn was formerly the home of Sereno Scranton, built in 1833 in the Greek Revival style.
The Scranton Seahorse Inn offers seven guest bedrooms, each with a private bath, cable TV, air conditioning, heat, and WiFi. Our rooms are appointed with modern amenities for convience and luxury.
The inn is centrally located to great beaches, restaurants, boutique and outlet shopping.

Michael Hafford, Pastry Chef & Innkeeper
Michael took over the Scranton Seahorse Inn in 2009, after a long career in coporate America. He works alongside his mother Olive and partner Bill in taking care of guests and the inn. Truly a family business.

Breakfasts at the Scranton Seahorse Inn are made with local farm eggs and local produce, purchased each week from Madison's Farmer's Market, or from the Inn's garden.
Breads, pastries and treats are baked every day. For early travelers, a healthy and high energy to-go breakfast can be prepared.
Special meals can be served for guest with restricted diets or preferences.
Our kitchen is open from time to time to teach basic skills and cooking techniques, as well as share ideas and recipes. Most importantly, we get to sit down and share good food together.
Classes are hands on and in small groups to enhance the learning experience. Printed recipes are provided as sovenirs.
Customize classes are available for group events.

We host a lot of tourists as well as business travelers.
What are you best known for? What makes your inn unique? What do you love most about your inn?
Our breakfast is what is talked about most often. Our multi course breakfast is prepared by the owner and pastry chef every day. We grow a lot of our own vegetables and herbs. What we don't grow we get from local famrs and farm shares.
