Homestead Inn - Greenwich, ConnecticutIt is said the difference between real life and the movies is that real life has bad lighting and no score. All that changes as one enters the grounds of Thomas Henkelmann and Homestead Inn in Greenwich, Connecticut. Purchased in 1997 by Theresa and Thomas Henkelmann as a showcase for Thomas Henkelmann's incredible cuisine, the existing hotel was a logical extension and a blank canvas for Theresa's design expertise.

Integrating the architecture that defers to the hotel's history and individuality, the Henkelmann's purposeful and sensitive renovation is a salute to the past while resolutely embracing the new and the now. Art and artifacts from around the globe are seamlessly woven into each room and suite's décor. European in flavor, the hotel speaks to both the artist and the bon vivant. Cement tiles designed and colored by French artist Denis Colomb add tactile appeal to the heated bathroom floors. Each bath differs in style and design and all have sumptuous amenities intended to coddle.
