The Chickering Room


This spacious room is appropriately named after the antique early 1800s Chickering Bros. piano, which for many years occupied this room when the room was a parlor. This first floor room is now adorned with a king size four poster pineapple bed dressed in elegance. There is also small sitting area and a spacious desk. You will find it easy to relax in this room with the help of the jetted tub in your private in-room bathroom.

This room is spacious with rich maroon hues and a private in-room bathroom. It sits on a very peaceful back corner of the house on the second floor, with a view of the landscape. If you listen closely, you can hear the soothing sounds of the garden fountain and birds from your queen size bed.

The Dibble Room

A history buff's delight! This comfortable first floor room envelops guests in warm hunter greens and royal blues with its queen size bed. A 19th century portrait of James Dibble, an original owner of the house, hangs above a striking working wood fireplace. The in-room private bathroom is equipped with a jetted tub.

The Mary Edwards Room

This second floor room is especially cozy, nestled in a secluded corner of the house with a private in-room bathroom. Its decor reflects the love that Mary Edwards, last of the Dibble family to own the house, had for Granby's beautiful landscape. A full size antique 1840s bed adds to this room’s charm.

- Room rates are based on single or double occupancy; add 12% CT lodging tax.
- Room rates include a full breakfast, as well as complimentary hot and cold beverages.
- Some rooms can accommodate a third person on a cot; additional person is $25 per night, plus tax.
- A one-night deposit (plus tax) is required for all reservations, per room; VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover accepted.
- Cancellations or changes to reservation dates must be made at least seven days in advance to receive a refund of your deposit; Thanksgiving and Christmas weeks/weekends require 14 days notice. Multiple room reservations require additional advanced notice, please call the inn for details.
- Check-in time is 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and check-out time is 11:00am; other times may be accommodated upon request
