Avenue Hotel Bed and Breakfast

Canon Room
 This beautiful spacious room is defined by the scroll work of the comfy KING size iron bed. The rich and vibrant floral bedding and the walnut vintage antique vanity and dresser are all highlighted against soft pastel blush colored walls.  The adjoining room of this spacious suite includes two rose colored vintage chairs providing a corner seating area for reading, chatting or enjoying  the grand bay window with a special view of the mountains surrounding Manitou Springs. A comfy over sized Twin bed completes the suite lending itself to an additional  guest or retreat  for an afternoon nap. To complete all the necessities of this beautiful suite is a large adjoining private bath with shower that features a claw-foot tub where you can soak and relax in a luxurious bath. A Pedestal sink with large scroll antique style mirror have the finishing amenities.  The Canon Room suite can sleep three people; the third person is an additional $20 per night. $125 - $145

Ruxton Room  Our Ruxton Room is encompassed by all natural richly hewed cherry wood bead board walls and ceiling. This room is often the “gentlemen’s choice” .  The Ruxton is a large room with two walls banked by windows that bathe the wood with warm shades of sunlight.   The Ruxton is furnished with a king size iron bed covered in distinctive green stripe satin spreads. Relax in a spacious seating area with two large  burgandy wing back chairs, a walnut end  table with reading lamp.  The large open adjoining private bath with shower offers all the necessities and features a claw-foot tub for your enjoyment. Comfy terry robes hang on the bath door to wrap  yourself up and leisurely prepare for the day. $125 - $145

Pawnee Room
The Pawnee is a two room suite consisting of a bedroom and a separate sitting room. The Pawnee sitting room is decorated with Native American rugs and artifacts, some of which are native to the Eastern Planes of Colorado. The casual western feel is enhanced by quarter -sawn oak furniture. . The cozy love seat pulls out into a twin size bed when the need arises.  The Pawnee bedroom has walls covered with rich wood bead board and windows wrapping two sides. Leave the blinds open a bit to be greeted by the first rays of the rising sun from your sumptuous queen size black iron bed. The private spacious bath is located just outside the room in the hall . The warmly hued walls, shower and claw foot tub tend to relax.  $98 - $125

Midland Room
 This room is beautifully adorned with a romantic turn-of-the- century wood carved mantle and fireplace surround. The fireplace is elegantly framed by two fireside chairs where you can enjoy the warmth of the flickering electric fire. The Midland has rich wood floors that are softened by a large area rug and is furnished with a voluptuous king-size bed. The antique brass chandelier  hangs in the middle of the room. A silver tray is set with wine glasses for two on the antique side table for a romantic evening or a luxurious way to start your vacation escape.  The adjoining private bath is large, open, and airy. It features a pedestal sink, a shower and a claw-foot tub for your relaxation and enjoyment. Large comfy robes can be found hanging on the bath door. A hair dryer is provided along with custom scented "Starfruit- Mango" shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion. $125 - $140

Osage Room
The Osage is the perfect oasis for your romantic getaway; tucked back on the 3rd floor, this room provides a perfect setting to spend time alone together. Private and quiet, the roomy Osage has a fabulous king-size bed canopied with dreamy white sheers and a rich red brocade spread with extra fluffy pillows. Two oversized comfy chairs are tucked against a small wall of windows, perfect for good conversation, wine in the evening, or reading your favorite book.  Enjoy mountain views as well as an outlook over the historic library garden. This large room has an out-of-the-ordinary shower bath enclosed in vibrant and rich red curtain. The bathroom includes a newly renovated shower and large pedestal sink. The Osage Room is the ideal bed and breakfast escape of Manitou Springs.  $115 - $130
 

Manitou Suite
The 2 large adjoining bedrooms extend the full width of the front of the house and are furnished each with plush queen-size decorative metal beds. Engaging sitting areas are washed with warm sunshine provided by the many windows that frame the views of Manitou Avenue and the historic library lawn.  The spacious Manitou Blue Room can be set apart from the adjoining Manitou Green Room and rented as a single room. The Manitou Blue Room boasts a grand wardrobe  and  luxurious Victorian fainting couch tucked against the sunny windows for you relaxation and enjoyment. The overstuffed bed is warmed with the brown and pale blue patterned spread inviting a wonderful night's rest. Original art work from local artists adorns the pale blue walls. The adjacent private bath is updated with a shower and pedestal sink. A discounted rate is applied when the Blue room is occupied independently as a single room. The Manitou “Green” Room can be accessed by a connecting door from the Manitou Blue Room or can be entered through its private entrance. The soft green wall color provides a pleasing back drop for beautiful lace curtains, an antique pedestal sink, and a charming sitting area. The queen-size iron bed is complemented by the golden spread and accented with throw pillows. The sunlight from the window overlooking Manitou Avenue bathes the room with happy ambience. A discounted rate is applied when the Blue room is occupied independently as a single room. The Green Room is closed and not used when the Blue Room is set apart and occupied as a single room. $125 - $185

Pikes Peak Room
 Light splashes of green on the walls warm the room and complement the simple floral pattern bedspread of the full-size bed with light wood  headboard. Green pinstripe valances add charming detail to the Pikes Peak Room windows. Filled with afternoon sunlight, the reading nook invites you to cozy up against an inspiring backdrop of Colorado foothills.  The private bathroom is a few steps across the hall; stepping into its vibrant space, the far window overlooks the grassy hill of the historic library lawn. The mirror reflects turn-of-the-century charm. The claw-foot tub and antique sink are the finishing touches to the Pikes Peak bathroom. $95 - $110

Carriage House
This two story building was in 1938 converted to living quarters and is located in the back garden portion of the ¼ acre Inn property.You can relax and enjoy mountain views from the flower gardens patio furniture with chairs and umbrella tables provide plenty of seating in the fresh  mountain air  and BBQ is available. The patio has a hot tub and hot tub towels are provided. Our Carriage House cottage provides additional space as a family-style vacation rental in a cozy mountain setting in the Pikes Peak region; these more spacious  accommodations work well for weddings, family reunions or additional privacy for extended stay business travelers. The Carriage House has 2 units; the Lower Carriage House is garden level for families with small children  or couples traveling together and sleeps 4 people; the Carriage House Loft with private deck lends itself to couples and extended stay guests, sleeps 2 people. Each cottage has a private  entrance, one bedroom with comfy Queen Size bed, living room and kitchen with dining area. Kitchens are fully equipped with major appliances, small appliances, cookware, and dishes. The room rate is reduced with a 4 or more night stay to $120 per night plus tax and breakfast is not included. Breakfast can be included but the room rate is not discounted.  Additional guests above a double occupancy, in the Lower Carriage House, is an additional $20 per night, A continental breakfast of fruit, homemade muffins and juice is provided on your first morning before you have the opportunity to get your groceries for the rest of your stay. The Carriage House at the Avenue Hotel Bed and Breakfast is just minutes away from local attractions. Our ideal location is within walking distance to unique shops, fine galleries, and fantastic restaurants in Manitou Springs yet only 4 miles west of Colorado Springs. The  area activities include Garden of the Gods with horse back riding stables, we are one mile from the Pikes Peak Cog railway, Pikes Peak Highway, Manitou Cliff Dwellings, Cave of the Winds, Seven Falls or Helen Hunt Falls, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo,  Focus on the Family, and the Air Force Academy. We can help plan activities, provide maps and directions to help make your visit pleasant and your stay memorable. $125 - $140

• Avenue Hotel, our Colorado bed and breakfast, is a wonderful vacation retreat located in the Rocky Mountain foothill region of Pikes Peak, Home of Pikes Peak Cog Railway and Pikes Peak Highway, just 4 miles west of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

• We strive to make your Colorado weekend getaway, vacation, or business trip a special travel experience. For that reason, we have put the following policies in place:
• For rooms accommodating more than two persons, $20 per person per night will be added.
• Our full Breakfast is servered at 9 am.   We do provide a "Grab n Go" for guests choosing to leave before breakfast  
• Rate does not include state and local taxes. 
• Check - in is 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM unless otherwise pre-arranged. Check-out is 11:00 AM.
• Payment by cash or check is preferred. We accept MC, Visa and Discover, however.
• A deposit of one night's stay may be required to hold your reservation.
• Cancellations made 14 days prior to reserved date are charged $25 processing fee. For cancellations made 14 days or less prior to reserved date, we must keep deposit unless we can re-rent the room.
• Children: Because of the retreat-style atmosphere, antique furnishings, and lack of appropriate entertainment, we are unable to properly accommodate children under 14. The Lower Carriage House accommodates small children with the extra space and amenities they need.
• There is No Smoking anywhere inside the inn. Candles and incense are also not permitted. Additional fees will be charged if this policy is not respected. There is a comfortable outside smoking area for those needing it.
• Pets. Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate your pets. We love them and have our own animal pack: Ollie the Scottie, Zoey the Westie, Rena the indoor/outdoor kitten, and Lucky the outside cat matriarch, all love attention and look forward to greeting and meeting you!
